You would get married in our beautiful Orchid Room which has huge bay windows overlooking the gardens. We'd then get everyone outside for your drinks reception where our wonderful staff would serve prosecco and canapes. If the weather is terrible, no problem...you'd be in our gorgeous Rose Room! Opened by Queen Victoria in 1845, the Great Hall, complete with striking fresco, minstrel's gallery and a ceiling of beautifully worked oak, is described as one of the most impressive surviving buildings of its kind in London and provides a spectacular setting for all types of events. Suitable for receptions for up to 450 guests, dinners for up to 250 guests, lectures and ceremonies for up to 300 guests and wedding receptions and dinner dances for up to 200 guests. The adjoining Bench Rooms and an east facing terrace overlooking impressive grounds is perfect for arrival receptions.
The stunning, grade 2 listed chapel, located in Caroline Gardens, Peckham, is licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies. We only have wedding ceremonies, the two bookings you can make are either 8.30am-2.30pm or 3.30pm-8.00pm. Both bookings allow for a toast, canapes and photographs before moving on to your evening venue. Wedding parties can dress the chapel with flowers, candles and fabric and, in our experience, the result is something truly magical.
The elegantly furnished Writing Room is a beautifully proportioned and intimate setting for small wedding ceremonies and receptions. Hung with famous paintings of cricketing scenes, it offers excellent views of the Ground from the north end of the Pavilion.
