Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum spend requirement for exclusive venue hire at HERA Restaurant?

The minimum spend for exclusive venue hire of the HERA Restaurant is £16,000. This covers the venue hire fee when your total event spend meets this threshold. If your budget is below this amount, additional venue hire fees may apply.

What are the capacity limits for wedding events at HERA?

HERA can accommodate up to 130 guests for seated events with space remaining for a DJ and dancefloor area. For standing cocktail receptions, the venue can handle larger groups. The space is flexible enough to host both intimate gatherings of 30 guests and larger celebrations.

What are HERA's operating hours and how do they affect event timing?

HERA's daily opening hours are 11:00am to 11:00pm. All events must conclude by 11:00pm due to noise restrictions in the corporate and residential area. This timing constraint applies to all wedding celebrations including dancing and entertainment.

What catering options and pricing does HERA offer for wedding events?

HERA offers bespoke set menus at £50 per person for 3-course meals. For a 130-guest wedding, the food cost would be £6,500 before service charge. They create custom menus tailored to your event and can accommodate both seated dinners and cocktail-style receptions.

How does HERA structure drinks packages and what are the typical costs?

HERA creates special drinks menus based on your budget, typically recommending 5-6 drinks per guest. For a 130-guest event, they estimate around £7,920 for drinks packages. You can set up a tab system where guests pay for additional drinks once your allocated amount is reached, or you can top up the tab as needed.

What audio-visual equipment is included for wedding ceremonies and speeches?

HERA provides a dedicated separate speaker system with two microphones specifically for speeches and ceremonies. They can also play your desired playlist through their restaurant speaker system for background music during dinner and reception portions of your event.

What are the DJ and entertainment options available?

HERA can book a DJ for your event at an additional cost that depends on the number of hours required. Alternatively, they can play your playlist through their restaurant speaker system at no extra charge. The venue can accommodate live entertainment, bands, and magicians, though all must comply with the 11:00pm noise restriction deadline.

What service charges and additional fees should couples budget for?

Service charges are applied to all events, with estimates around £1,650-£1,980 depending on your total spend. All pricing appears to be subject to additional service charges, so factor this into your budget planning when calculating total costs for catering and drinks packages.

What noise restrictions apply to wedding celebrations at HERA?

HERA is located in a corporate and residential area and is subject to standard noise restrictions. The venue operates as a fine-dining restaurant rather than a club environment, so music and entertainment must be kept at appropriate levels. All events must end by 11:00pm due to these restrictions.

How flexible is HERA with event layouts and space configuration?

The venue offers flexibility for your full event flow, accommodating seated three-course meals, DJ and dancing areas, plus space for speeches and entertainment. The main restaurant space can be configured to include a dedicated dancefloor area while still comfortably seating your guests for dinner.
