The Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich is a stunning baroque complex designed by Sir Christopher Wren, built from 1696 on the site of the Tudor Palace of Placentia — birthplace of Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. Originally serving as a hospital for retired seamen, it is now home to the University of Greenwich and Trinity Laban Conservatoire, and is best known for its breathtaking Painted Hall, often dubbed the "Sistine Chapel of the UK."
