Frequently asked questions

The space is available for £3,000 room hire plus a minimum Food and Beverage spend of £16,000 (inclusive of VAT). This rate excludes a mandatory 15% discretionary service charge. Any shortfall in the minimum spend will be charged as additional room hire.

The maximum standing capacity is 150 people. The space includes both the intimate Japanese bar area and The Shima Garden terrace with sweeping London skyline views and retractable roof.

Security is mandatory for all events at The Londoner at £35 per hour per guard, with a minimum of 6 hours required. One security guard is required for every 100 guests attending, so events with 150 guests would need at least 2 guards (minimum cost £420).

The space offers a seasonal Japanese reduced menu from 8 at The Londoner, featuring Japanese cuisine, sake, and Japanese whisky. The menu is specifically curated for this rooftop location and focuses on authentic Japanese flavors.

Events typically run from 5pm to 1am. The space includes both indoor and outdoor areas, with The Shima Garden terrace featuring a retractable roof for London evenings.

AV equipment is available but requires a separate bespoke quote from the AV Manager. Costs are not included in the base room hire and minimum spend, so budget separately for any audio-visual requirements.

Guests can enjoy reception drinks in the intimate Japanese bar area of 8 at The Londoner, then move to The Shima Garden terrace for outdoor drinks with city views. The retractable roof on the terrace allows for year-round use regardless of weather conditions.
