The Watergate is an elegant events space with stunning period features including a glittering chandelier making it an eye-catching choice for many types of event. The Watergate has been used for a wide range of activities including corporate away days, business meetings, awards and sumptuous dinner banquets. Room hire rates vary by space: Canterbury Suite (65 sqm, up to 50 banqueting) at £1,600 inc VAT per day, Thames Suite (72 sqm, up to 30 classroom) at £1,600 inc VAT per day, Regency Suite (120 sqm, up to 60 banqueting) at £2,500 inc VAT, and Ballroom Suite (174 sqm, up to 120 banqueting) at £3,500 supplement plus additional costs. Base room hire includes pads, pens, mineral water, sweets, dedicated event planner, screen and projector, flipchart, complimentary Wi-Fi, and VAT at 20%.

Day Delegate Rate packages are available from £80-£110 per person (reduced rates mentioned as low as £90). The package includes arrival tea/coffee with refreshments, mid-morning tea/coffee break, working buffet lunch, afternoon tea/coffee break, room hire, stationery, Wi-Fi, LCD projector and screen, flipchart, and dedicated event planner. Unlimited tea and coffee throughout the day is available at £15 per person.

Canterbury Suite has maximum 50 banqueting/48 classroom style, Thames Suite maximum 30 classroom style, Regency Suite maximum 60 banqueting/50 cabaret style, and Ballroom Suite maximum 120 banqueting/170 theatre style. Minimum guaranteed numbers vary by package: Day Delegate Rates typically require 35-50 minimum, while dinner packages require 35-100 minimum depending on the space and package selected.

Provisional holds are typically placed for 1 week on either 1st option (exclusive) or shared option (multiple clients holding same dates). The venue requires decisions by specific deadlines, often with automatic release if not confirmed - examples include 'decision required by tomorrow 5pm' and 'decision required by tomorrow 2pm'. Final event details must be submitted by noon on the Friday before the event week.

Cancellation charges are: 52-12 weeks prior: 30% of function charges, 12-8 weeks prior: 50% of charges, 8-4 weeks prior: 80% of charges, 4 weeks or less: 100% of charges. The venue has designated suppliers for AV equipment who can provide quotes for complex setups.
