Frequently asked questions

There is a minimum spend of £2,000 excluding VAT on catering plus venue hire. This minimum applies to all events and makes the venue unsuitable for smaller gatherings.

Venue hire is £3,000 excluding VAT for exclusive use. For Christmas events, exclusive venue hire from 6pm-11:30pm costs £3,500 excluding VAT, which includes PA system, stage, lectern and microphones.

The standard drinks package costs £45 per person for 3 hours of unlimited wines, beer and soft drinks, with a minimum of 55 guests required. Christmas packages include drinks at £38 per person (1.5 glasses sparkling wine, ½ bottle red/white wine, soft drinks and water).

Canapé options include 4 pieces at £25 per person, 6 pieces at £35 per person, or 8 pieces at £45 per person, with additional canapés at £8 per item. Three-course dinners are available from £88 per person, and Christmas packages range from £115-£140 per person including food and drinks.

The venue can accommodate up to 250 guests for cocktail receptions. For seated events, capacity ranges from 140-200 guests depending on the specific setup and requirements.

Basic AV equipment including PA system, microphones, stage and lectern is included with venue hire. Additional AV requirements such as screens and projectors can be arranged, and the venue can accommodate entertainment including bands and DJ setups.

Events typically run from 6pm-11:30pm for evening receptions. Christmas events include exclusive venue hire from 5:30pm-11pm, and conference-style events can run from 5:30pm-9pm with drinks reception following.

Exclusive venue hire includes access to the Foyer, Luncheon Room and Courtroom from 4pm-11:30pm. The Events space is located on the first floor and features regency mirrors, French style furniture, and elegant décor suitable for pre-dinner receptions.

The venue is managed by Searcys and appears to accommodate most standard corporate events including awards ceremonies, Christmas parties, and networking receptions. Entertainment such as bands, DJs, and live performances can be accommodated with the included stage and AV setup.

All pricing is quoted excluding VAT with 20% VAT added to final costs. The venue requires meeting minimum spend requirements and guest minimums for drinks packages. Specific booking procedures and deposit requirements should be confirmed directly with the Carpenters Hall team.
