The period features of the Nelson including a glittering chandelier and luxurious red curtains make this room the perfect back drop for a wide range of events. Bathed in natural light with fabulous views of the Strand, the Nelson is perfect for a private lunch or team building exercise. In the evening, a more intimate dinner gathering is perfectly suited for this space. Fitting up to 36 people in Banquet style your guests will be well looked after by our discreet staff. Smaller champagne and canape gatherings are also well-suited to this lovely little space.




Frequently asked questions

The venue offers two private dining packages: £99 per person for minimum 35 people (includes private room hire, arrival drink, 3-course set menu with tea/coffee, half bottle wine per person, half bottle water per person, dedicated event planner, VAT and service charge) or £105 per person with maximum 2-2-2 menu choices for the whole group. Additional drinks are charged on consumption basis.

The Canterbury Suite accommodates maximum 50 people in banqueting style, covers 65.33 sqm, is located on the 1st floor with natural daylight, AC and heating, disabled access, and WiFi. The Regency Suite holds up to 60 banqueting style (120 sqm), while the Ballroom Suite can accommodate up to 120 banqueting style (174.24 sqm).

Provisional bookings are typically held for 1 week on 1st option or shared option basis. The venue requires booking decisions by specific deadlines (often by 5pm the following day for automatic release). Final event details must be submitted by noon on the Friday before the event, and any modifications after that date are subject to availability.

Standard dinner events run from 6pm-11pm, while Christmas packages typically run 6:30pm-11:30pm. The venue can accommodate different timings based on availability, with some events extending to 23:30 or later depending on the package and room booked.

Cancellation charges are: 30% between 52-12 weeks prior, 50% between 12-8 weeks prior, 80% between 8-4 weeks prior, and 100% within 4 weeks of the event. These charges apply to all function-related costs.

Additional services include: printing at £0.75 per page for double-sided colour A4, name tag printing on place cards (complimentary with hotel branding), drinks minimum spend options (£500-600 including VAT recommended), PA system with wireless microphones at £250 including VAT, and lectern hire at £60 including VAT.

Basic room hire includes 1 screen and projector, WiFi, and flipchart. Upgrades available include PA system with 2 wireless microphones and 2 speakers for £250 including VAT (Ballroom only), lectern for £60 including VAT, and clients can bring their own AV supplier with proper documentation (PAT Test, Public Liability, and RAMS forms).

The venue allows clients to bring decorations and setup materials, but delivery arrangements must be coordinated in advance with specific dates, times, and contact person names provided to the concierge team. Christmas events include Christmas tree, novelties and crackers as standard.

Private dining packages require minimum 35 people guaranteed numbers. Some rooms have minimum chargeable numbers (e.g., 45 people for certain spaces). The Ballroom Suite requires a room hire supplement of £3,500 per day in addition to catering packages, while other packages typically include room hire in the per-person price.
