The Max Rayne Atrium is a stunning vaulted glass roofed space offering plenty of natural day light, making it ideal for receptions, exhibitions, products launches, conference dining, networking drinks or other corporate events. This spacious event space can hold up to 200 delegates and can be set up in many different ways to accommodate your vision. Being on the ground floor, the Max Rayne Atrium is also fully accessible to wheelchair users.

The Max Rayne Auditorium costs £3,190 for a 4-hour hire (1pm-5pm) and includes complimentary use of the Atrium catering space. For drinks receptions, the Max Rayne Atrium costs £1,200 plus VAT with a minimum catering spend of £2,500 plus VAT. All events have a minimum of 90 people for catering charges, and all prices are subject to VAT.

The venue operates outside standard opening hours for events, with evening availability from 6:30pm to 10pm. Service ends at 10pm to allow guests to wind down for departure after this time. Events cannot run past midnight as this is outside venue opening hours.

Standard catering includes tea/coffee with biscuits at £4.30 per person, networking nibbles at £6.00 per person, and 6 canapés at £23.00 per person. Drinks include house wine at £25.50 per bottle, beers at £5.00 per bottle, and soft drinks at £2.00 per can. All catering is charged per person, per serving with minimum numbers of 90 people applying.

No external food or drink is allowed into the venue. All catering must be provided by the venue's in-house catering team. This policy applies to all events regardless of size or type.

The Max Rayne Auditorium includes a projector for presentations, 2 handheld microphones, 2 lapel microphones, and a lectern as standard. Additional equipment available for hire includes PA systems with handheld microphones (£250), AV technician support (£950), laptops (£150), and hybrid/streaming packages starting from £1,000.

The Max Rayne Auditorium holds 146 people in theatre style. The Max Rayne Atrium can accommodate up to 200 people standing for receptions. For other rooms, the Wheatley Room holds 72 in cabaret style or 80 in theatre, while smaller meeting rooms like the Dame Deirdre Hine room hold 36 in classroom layout.

All quotes are valid for 5 days from the date issued. The venue does not automatically hold space when providing quotes - you must specifically request a temporary hold if you want the space reserved while you make your decision. Site visits can be arranged to check room suitability before booking.

The Heritage Centre has a maximum temperature of 20°C that cannot be changed due to preservation of antique books stored there. Weekend hires require a minimum booking of £3,000 plus VAT. Some rooms have ethernet ports available for live streaming equipment, and the venue can accommodate hybrid events with streaming capabilities.

For evening events, auditorium access is available from 5:30pm for presentation setup, while catering spaces may only be accessible from 6pm if there are earlier events. The venue provides registration desks, self-service cloakrooms, and organiser refreshments at the registration desk for larger events.
