The spacious Max Rayne Auditorium has 148 luxurious tiered leather seats facing a purpose-built stage with state-of-the-art audio visual capabilities, making it the perfect event space for conferences, lectures, seminars, corporate meetings, presentations, and other private events. This auditorium is also designed to be fully accessible, with two conveniently located wheelchair spaces at the front of the room. The room boasts cameras and recording equipment for video broadcasting and online streaming.

Max Rayne Auditorium costs £3,190 for 4 hours (theatre style, 146 capacity) with complimentary catering space. Dame Deirdre Hine room is £990 per day (classroom layout, 36 capacity). Heritage Centre is £440 per day (boardroom layout, 17 capacity, temperature controlled at 20°C). All spaces have minimum catering requirements: 90 people for Max Rayne, 15 people for smaller rooms, with catering charged per person per serving.

The venue operates during standard business hours with evening availability from 6:30pm to 10pm maximum. Service ends at 10pm to allow guests to wind down for departure. Weekend hires require a minimum booking of £3,000 plus VAT.

Max Rayne Auditorium includes projector, 2 handheld microphones, 2 lapel microphones, and lectern in the hire rate. Additional equipment costs: PA system with 2 handheld mics £250, AV technician for full event support £950, laptop £150, video conference kit £90, flipchart with pens £40. Hybrid packages range from £1,000-£3,240 depending on duration and complexity.

Standard catering includes tea/coffee with biscuits £4.30pp, with pastries and fruit £6.00pp. Working lunch £26.25pp, buffet lunch £39.50pp. For receptions: 6 canapés £23.00pp, house wine £25.50 per bottle, beers £5.00 per bottle. Day delegate packages available from £93-£99pp including room hire, catering breaks, lunch, and AV technician.

No external food or drink is allowed into the venue. All catering must be provided by the in-house catering team, with pricing charged per person per serving and minimum numbers applying to all catering orders.

All quotes are valid for 5 days only. The venue does not automatically hold space when providing quotes - you must specifically request a temporary hold. Site visits can be arranged to check room suitability before booking.

Max Rayne Auditorium: 146 theatre style. Wheatley Room: 72 cabaret/80 theatre/38 boardroom. Dame Deirdre Hine: 36 classroom/60 theatre/34 boardroom. Heritage Centre: 17 boardroom (temperature controlled at 20°C maximum). Marcus Beck Library: 30 fixed U-shape layout.

The Heritage Centre is temperature controlled at exactly 20°C to preserve antique books and this cannot be altered. Some rooms have ethernet ports available for live streaming equipment. The venue is closed on certain dates and has limited availability for multi-week bookings.

Evening drinks receptions in Max Rayne Atrium have a minimum catering spend of £2,500 plus VAT, with room hire at £1,200 plus VAT. Minimum numbers of 90 people apply, and the space has a maximum standing capacity that varies by room.

Day delegate packages include registration desk, self-service cloakroom, organiser refreshments at registration, dedicated AV technician, standard AV equipment, and Wi-Fi access. The venue also offers preferential hotel rates at Domus Medica for meeting attendees.
