Frequently asked questions

Max Rayne Auditorium costs £3,190 for 4 hours (theatre capacity 146) with complimentary catering space. Dame Deirdre Hine room is £990 per day (classroom capacity 36). Heritage Centre is £440 per day (boardroom capacity 17, temperature controlled at 20°C). All spaces have minimum catering requirements: 90 people for Max Rayne, 15 people for smaller rooms, with catering charged per person per serving.

The venue operates during standard business hours with evening availability from 6:30pm-10pm. Service ends at 10pm to allow guests to wind down for departure. Weekend hires require a minimum booking of £3,000 plus VAT. Events outside these hours are not accommodated.

Max Rayne Auditorium includes projector, 2 handheld microphones, 2 lapel microphones, and lectern. Additional equipment costs: PA system with 2 handheld mics £250, AV technician for full event support £950, 65" relay screen £150, hybrid package £1,000, laptop hire £150. Video conference kit is £90 for smaller rooms.

Standard catering includes tea/coffee with biscuits at £4.30 per person, Danish pastries and fruit salad at £6.00 per person. Working lunch is £26.25 per person. Canapés are £23.00 per person (6 pieces). House wine is £25.50 per bottle, beers £5.00 per bottle. All catering is charged per person per serving and subject to VAT.

No external food or drink is allowed into the venue. All catering must be provided by the venue's in-house catering team. This policy applies to all events regardless of size or duration.

Quotes are valid for 5 days and spaces are not held during this period unless specifically requested. Temporary holds can be arranged upon request. Site visits can be scheduled to check room suitability. Payment timelines and booking confirmation procedures should be confirmed when placing a hold.

The Heritage Centre is temperature controlled at exactly 20°C to preserve antique books and this cannot be altered. Some rooms have ethernet ports available for live streaming equipment. The venue has multiple floors with rooms located from lower ground to 4th floor.

The venue offers hybrid packages starting at £1,000, live streaming options, and film recording packages. Multi-camera setups are available with dedicated streaming engineers. Hybrid Package 2 costs £3,240 and can connect multiple auditoriums. All packages include high-speed Wi-Fi and professional AV support.

Max Rayne Auditorium holds 146 theatre style. Guy Whittle Auditorium accommodates 298 theatre style. Wheatley Room fits 72 cabaret/80 theatre/38 boardroom. Dame Deirdre Hine room holds 36 classroom/60 theatre/34 boardroom. Marcus Beck Library has fixed U-shape for 30 people. Heritage Centre accommodates 17 boardroom style.

Located minutes way from Oxford Circus & Bond Street underground stations it is connected to all the major railway stations in London. There are over 15 function spaces including 3 state-of-the-art auditoriums the largest of which holds up to 300 people. There is a large glass roofed atrium perfect for events for up to 200 people.
