The Gallops Suite is one of three inter-connected suites on the first floor and has a privileged position within the Duchess' Stand. The balcony wraps around the stand so you have views of London and across the parade ring on one side, and over the racecourse on the other side. It is an ideal space for a Banquet, Birthday Dinner, Christmas Dinner, Dinner Party or Ball. The Gallops Suite is the perfect Dining Room and is suited for any Dining Event - Corporate or Private. The price listed is inclusive of VAT. Please see the House Rules for details on the Delegate Package.

What is the minimum number of guests required for dining events at Epsom Downs Racecourse?
All dining bookings require a minimum of 50 people. Meeting spaces have a minimum of 30 people, but banqueting specifically requires 50 guests minimum to proceed with a booking.
What are the pricing options for dining events and what do they include?
Day Delegate Rate packages start from £53 per person plus VAT. All-inclusive dining packages are available at £76 per person including VAT, which covers room hire, glass of bubbly on arrival, 3-course seated meal, tea and coffee, staffing and security. Wine can be added at £18.75 per person for half a bottle.
Can I bring my own caterer for dining events?
External catering is not normally allowed on site. The venue works with contracted preferred caterers only - you must use one of their approved catering partners rather than sourcing your own catering independently.
What dining spaces are available and what are their capacities?
The Diomed Suite can accommodate up to 500 people in theatre style or 224 people in cabaret style for dining. The Gallops Suite accommodates up to 48 people in cabaret style. The Oaks Hall can accommodate approximately 50 people for dining events.
Are there any restrictions on guest numbers that would prevent booking?
Yes, the venue cannot accommodate very large events requiring extensive kitchen facilities. Events requiring 700 guests with 500 seated cannot be accommodated due to kitchen capacity limitations in the largest halls.
What additional costs apply beyond the basic dining package?
Room hire fees may apply - for example, the Mezzanine area has a £1,000 plus VAT room hire fee. DJ and dance floor services cost £400 plus VAT. Menu upgrades are available at additional cost depending on your selections.
What facilities and features are included with dining spaces?
Dining packages include complimentary car parking, dedicated event manager, staffing and security. Some spaces like the Diomed Suite include use of a private terrace overlooking the racecourse. Built-in PA systems are complimentary.
How does the booking process work for dining events?
If using preferred caterers, you must contact the caterers directly for quotes, availability and site visits. The caterers will quote for both room hire and catering as part of their package. You need to choose your preferred caterer first, then organize the venue viewing with them.
