The Diomed Suite is the largest of three inter-joining suites on the first floor. It boasts spectacular views over London and the Downs.

It is an ideal space for a Office Party, Christmas Party or Dinner and is brilliantly suited for Cabaret, Theatre and Banquet layouts. We are more than able to cater for Corporate, Private and Charity Events.

Frequently asked questions

All meeting spaces require a minimum of 30 people for bookings. Banqueting bookings specifically require a minimum of 50 people. If your group is smaller than these minimums, the venue cannot accommodate your event.

Day Delegate Rate packages start from £53 per person plus VAT. The Classic DDR Package at £53+VAT includes main suite hire, arrival tea/coffee with pastries and fruit, mid-morning refreshments, finger buffet lunch, afternoon tea/coffee, water, projector/screen, flipchart, Wi-Fi, parking, and dedicated event manager.

The venue does not normally allow external catering to be brought on site. However, they do work with preferred contracted caterers who can provide catering services. You must use one of their approved catering partners rather than sourcing completely independent catering.

No, Epsom Downs does not sell on a pure dry hire basis. All bookings must include catering services, either through their in-house catering or approved contracted catering partners. Room hire is bundled with catering packages rather than offered separately.

The Diomed Suite can accommodate up to 500 people in theatre style layout and up to 224 people in cabaret style. The venue cannot accommodate events requiring 700+ guests with 500+ seated, as their kitchen facilities and largest halls cannot service these numbers in seated capacity.

Additional room hire fees include: Mezzanine area at £1,000 ex VAT, breakout spaces at £2,000 ex VAT for all rooms, individual breakout rooms from £300-£1,800 ex VAT depending on size. The main DDR package includes the primary suite hire, but additional spaces incur separate charges.

The DDR package includes a projector, screen, built-in PA system, flipchart, and pens at no extra cost. Additional AV costs are: lectern and microphone £90 ex VAT, standalone microphone £70 ex VAT, medium stage £350 ex VAT. All additional AV costs exclude VAT.

All-inclusive dinner packages start at £67 per person including VAT, which covers exclusive party suite, non-alcoholic arrival drink, three-course menu, staffing, security, and complimentary parking. You can add half a bottle of wine per person for £18.75, or upgrade to premium wine options at additional cost.

Events typically require setup time, with some events needing access from 7am for same-day setup. The venue can accommodate events running until late evening or midnight depending on the booking. Specific timing restrictions and setup requirements should be confirmed during the booking process.

Available breakout spaces include: Downs View Suite (60 people cabaret, £1,800 room hire), Gallops (48 people cabaret, £1,400 room hire), and Double Box (24 people cabaret, £600 room hire). These can be discounted when booked alongside main event spaces, with reductions of up to 50% available.
