Library at Asia House

The Library can accommodate up to 50 guests for small wedding ceremonies or receptions. For larger weddings, Fine Rooms 1 & 2 combined can accommodate up to 170 guests reception style or 80 guests banquet style for a sit-down meal. Asia House cannot accommodate weddings over 240 guests.

Fine Rooms 1 & 2 cost £2,300 + VAT for a full day hire (09:00-17:00). Evening hire for Fine Rooms 1 & 2 costs approximately £2,138 + VAT. The Library and Studio combination costs £994 + VAT for a 4-hour hire. All prices exclude waiting staff, which are not included in basic room hire quotations.

Yes, external caterers are permitted with a dry hire fee of £600 + VAT, which includes use of the ground floor kitchen. However, Asia House will not provide any equipment, tables, chairs, linen, cutlery, glassware or waiting staff with dry hire - these must be hired separately at additional cost (chairs £3.50 + VAT each, tables £12 + VAT each).

Corkage charges apply at £12 + VAT per bottle of wine, £15 + VAT per bottle of champagne, and £1 + VAT per beer bottle. These charges are in addition to the dry hire fee and room hire costs.

Yes, the building is fully accessible with a lift to access bathrooms and a ramp that can be placed outside for wheelchair users. The ramp is set up before guest arrival and again when guests leave. The Hutchison Room is specifically confirmed as wheelchair accessible, and wheelchair users cannot use a stairlift.

Yes, a late license can be acquired until midnight. There is an additional fee of £500 + VAT per hour for extensions from 10pm onwards. This allows couples to extend their celebration but comes at a significant additional cost.

Asia House offers Day Delegate Rate (DDR) packages at £75 + VAT per person with a minimum of 25 guests, including full-day room hire, pastries and fruit on arrival, tea/coffee service, bottled water, hot or cold fork buffet lunch, and dedicated waiting staff. Three-course festive meals are available for £50 + VAT per person. All beverages are charged on consumption with no minimum spend requirement.

Available AV includes conference projectors (£250 + VAT), PA systems (£300 + VAT), plasma TVs (£150 + VAT), and microphones (£85 + VAT each). An AV technician is recommended if more than 3 microphones are required or for lapel microphones, charged at £85 + VAT per hour with a 4-hour minimum.

Yes, the Library can be rented as part of an exclusive hire of the building, allowing banquets and receptions to follow in the Fine Rooms. This provides couples with complete privacy and the ability to use multiple spaces throughout their wedding day for different parts of the celebration.

For gallery exhibitions or installations requiring wall hanging, a mandatory technician fee of £600 + VAT applies for installation and deinstallation. Multi-day events can include overnight holds - for example, a 5-day event with overnight hold costs £4,380 + VAT. Setup and breakdown days can be arranged with additional room hire charges.
