Fine room 1 is is the largest and the grandest of the Fine rooms. With it's traditional features such as the marble fireplace, ornate ceiling and almost full height windows, it is suitable for seminars, conferences, product launches, and team building events. The adjoining Fine Room 2 acts as the perfect breakout and catering space, allowing your meeting room to be used to it's full potential.
It is also perfect for a sit down dinner for up to 80 guests (this number can be increased by using the adjoining Fine room 2).

Fine Rooms 1 & 2 cost £2,300 + VAT for a full day hire (09:00-17:00). This includes waiting staff but excludes catering, additional tableware, and AV equipment. The combined rooms accommodate up to 170 guests reception style or 80 guests banquet style for seated dining.
What is the Day Delegate Rate (DDR) package and what does it include?
The DDR package costs £75 + VAT per person with a minimum of 25 guests (some quotes show minimum of 40 guests). It includes full-day room hire, pastries and fruit on arrival, unlimited tea/coffee/mineral water, mid-morning and afternoon breaks with biscuits, hot or cold fork buffet lunch, dedicated waiting staff, AC, and WiFi.
What are the capacity limits for different room configurations?
Fine Rooms 1 & 2 combined accommodate up to 170 guests reception style, 80 guests banquet style, or 100 guests theatre style. The Hutchison Room holds up to 20 guests boardroom style. The Library accommodates 26 guests on one large table or 34 guests cabaret style.
What AV equipment is available and what are the costs?
Conference projector costs £250 + VAT, PA system £300 + VAT, plasma TV £150 + VAT, and microphones £85 + VAT each. An AV technician costs £85 + VAT per hour (minimum 4 hours) and is recommended for more than 3 microphones or when using lapel microphones.
What are the catering minimums and pricing structure?
Hot or cold fork buffet has a minimum of 15 guests, sandwich lunch has a minimum of 10 guests. A 3-course festive meal costs £50 + VAT per person. All beverages are charged on consumption with no minimum spend, and you can set a maximum spend if desired.
What are the costs for evening events and extended hours?
Evening room hire for Fine Rooms 1 & 2 with waiting staff costs approximately £2,138-£3,492 + VAT depending on duration. A late license until midnight costs £500 + VAT per hour from 10pm. Weekend hire (Saturday) for Fine Rooms 1 & 2 costs £3,000 + VAT.
What are the dry hire options and additional costs?
Dry hire costs £600 + VAT (includes ground floor kitchen access) plus room hire fees. You must provide your own equipment, tables, chairs, linen, cutlery, glassware, and waiting staff. Additional hire costs: chairs £3.50 + VAT each, tables £12 + VAT each. Corkage fees: £12 + VAT per wine bottle, £15 + VAT per champagne bottle, £1 + VAT per beer bottle.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible and what facilities are available?
The venue is fully accessible with a lift to access bathrooms and a ramp placed outside for wheelchair users during arrival and departure. The Hutchison Room is specifically confirmed as wheelchair accessible, and wheelchair users cannot use a stairlift.

For multi-day events, setup and breakdown days are charged separately (e.g., £850 + VAT each for Library and Studio). Overnight holds cost £4,380 + VAT for the full duration. The Gallery requires a mandatory technician for wall installations at £600 + VAT for install and deinstall.
