What is the maximum capacity for wedding ceremonies and receptions in Fine Room 3?

Fine Room 3 can accommodate up to 80 guests for a banquet-style seated meal or up to 100 guests for a reception-style standing event. The room was originally the master bedroom of this Georgian townhouse, making it particularly special for wedding ceremonies.

What are the room hire costs for wedding events?

Room hire for Fine Room 3 starts at £2,300 plus VAT for a full day (09:00-17:00). Evening hire and extended hours are available at additional cost, with late licenses possible until midnight for an extra £500 plus VAT per hour after 10pm.

Can we use external caterers and what are the additional costs?

Yes, external caterers are permitted with a dry hire fee of £600 plus VAT, which includes use of the ground floor kitchen. You'll also need to hire tables (£12 plus VAT each), chairs (£3.50 plus VAT each), and arrange your own waiting staff, linen, cutlery, and glassware.

What are the corkage charges if we bring our own alcohol?

Corkage charges are £12 plus VAT per bottle of wine, £15 plus VAT per bottle of champagne, and £1 plus VAT per beer bottle. These charges apply in addition to the dry hire fee when using external caterers.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible for wedding guests?

Yes, Asia House is fully accessible with a lift to access bathrooms and a ramp that can be placed outside the building for wheelchair users. The ramp is set up before guest arrival and again when guests leave.

What catering options are available and what are the minimum requirements?

Asia House offers internal catering with hot or cold fork buffets (minimum 15 guests) or sandwich lunches (minimum 10 guests). A 3-course festive meal costs £50 plus VAT per person. All beverages are charged on consumption with no minimum spend requirement.

What AV equipment is available and what are the costs?

Available AV includes plasma TV (£150 plus VAT), PA system (£300 plus VAT), conference projector (£250 plus VAT), and microphones (£85 plus VAT each). An AV technician is recommended for complex setups at £85 plus VAT per hour with a 4-hour minimum.

Are there any restrictions on guest numbers or event types?

Asia House cannot accommodate weddings over 170 guests reception-style or 80 guests banquet-style across their largest combined spaces (Fine Rooms 1 & 2). For smaller ceremonies, Fine Room 3 is specifically recommended as the ideal space for intimate weddings.

What are the payment terms and booking requirements?

All prices are quoted plus VAT and invoices must be paid before the event date. Waiting staff are included in most room hire quotations, but additional tableware and equipment may incur extra charges depending on your requirements.
