Asia House is a beautiful Grade II* listed Georgian Town House in central London, just a few minutes from Oxford Circus, Bond Street, Great Portland Street and Regent’s Park stations. Hidden away from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street and Regent Street, our venue is ideal for conferences,
receptions, lectures and product launches, as well as private lunches, dinners and weddings.
The building offers three Fine Rooms in the Regency style of architecture with high decorative ceilings, chandeliers, and marble fireplaces. There is also a purpose-built
exhibition space, the Gallery.

What are the room hire costs for the main event spaces?
Fine Rooms 1 & 2 combined cost £2,300 +VAT for 09:00-17:00 hire and can accommodate up to 170 guests reception style or 80 banquet style. The Hutchison Room costs £750 +VAT per day and accommodates up to 20 guests boardroom style. The Gallery costs £580 +VAT per day and measures 18m x 5.5m. Library & Studio combination costs £994 +VAT for a 4-hour hire (09:00-13:00).
What is included in the Day Delegate Rate (DDR) package and what does it cost?
The DDR package costs £75 +VAT per person with a minimum of 25 guests (some quotes show minimum of 40 guests). It includes full-day meeting room hire (09:00-17:00), pastries and fruit on arrival, 3 servings of tea/coffee/biscuits throughout the day, bottled mineral water, hot or cold fork buffet lunch, dedicated waiting staff, AC, and WiFi.
What are the capacity limits for different room layouts?
Fine Rooms 1 & 2 combined accommodate up to 170 guests reception style, 80 banquet style, or 100 theatre style. The Hutchison Room holds up to 20 guests boardroom style. The Library accommodates up to 26 guests on one large table, 34 guests cabaret style, or 50 guests theatre style. Individual Fine Rooms hold up to 100 guests theatre style each.
What additional costs should I expect beyond room hire?
All prices are +VAT. Waiting staff and additional tableware are not included in basic room hire quotes. AV equipment costs extra: conference projector £250, PA system £300, microphones £85 each, plasma TV £150, AV technician £85 per hour (4-hour minimum). For gallery use, a mandatory technician for wall hanging costs £600 for install and deinstall.
How does catering work and what are the minimum orders?
Drinks are charged on consumption with no minimum spend. Hot or cold fork buffet has a minimum of 15 guests, while sandwich lunch has a minimum of 10 guests. For external catering, there's a dry hire fee of £600 +VAT plus corkage charges: £12 +VAT per wine bottle, £15 +VAT per champagne bottle, £1 +VAT per beer bottle.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the building is fully accessible. The Hutchison Room is wheelchair accessible, there's a lift to access bathrooms, and a ramp is placed outside the building for wheelchair users during arrival and departure. The venue cannot accommodate wheelchair users who cannot use a stairlift.
What are the evening hire costs and late license options?
Evening room hire for Fine Rooms 1 & 2 costs £2,138 +VAT including waiting staff (example: 16:00-22:00). A late license can be acquired until midnight for an additional £500 +VAT per hour from 10pm. Standard venue hours appear to end at 10pm.
What AV equipment is available and when is a technician required?
Available AV includes conference projectors (£250), PA systems (£300), microphones (£85 each), and plasma TVs (£150). An AV technician costs £85 +VAT per hour with a 4-hour minimum and is recommended when using more than 3 handheld microphones or any lapel microphones.
Can I use external suppliers and what are the restrictions?
External catering is permitted with a dry hire fee of £600 +VAT plus corkage charges. You must hire your own equipment, tables, chairs, linen, cutlery, glassware, and waiting staff for dry hire events. Tables cost £12 +VAT and chairs £3.50 +VAT to hire from the venue.
What is the maximum capacity the venue can accommodate?
The venue cannot accommodate events over 240 guests for weddings or very large events. The largest capacity is 170 guests reception style in Fine Rooms 1 & 2 combined. Events requiring significantly more space are typically referred to alternative venues.
