The smaller, more intimate of the Fine Rooms. With a beautiful circular painted ceiling which dates from the 18th century when it was the master bedroom in a private home, it is the most elegant of the Fine Rooms, and a beautiful setting for an private dining experience for a lunch, dinner or drinks reception.




Frequently asked questions

Room hire for Fine Room 1 (the Dining space) varies by event duration and guest count. For example, a 6-hour evening hire for 55 guests costs £3,492 plus VAT including waiting staff. Day rates start from £2,300 plus VAT for 8 hours (09:00-17:00). All prices exclude VAT and catering costs are additional.

Fine Room 1 can accommodate up to 80 guests on round tables for seated dining. When combined with Fine Room 2, the space can hold up to 80 guests banquet style for sit-down meals or 170 guests reception style for standing events.

Asia House offers internal catering with hot or cold fork buffets (minimum 15 guests), sandwich lunches (minimum 10 guests), and 3-course festive meals at £50 per person plus VAT. Day Delegate Rate packages start at £75 plus VAT per person with a 25-guest minimum. All drinks are charged on consumption with no minimum spend.

External caterers are permitted with a dry hire fee of £600 plus VAT, which includes use of the ground floor kitchen. However, Asia House will not provide equipment, tables, chairs, linen, cutlery, glassware or waiting staff - these must be hired separately at £3.50 plus VAT per chair and £12 plus VAT per table.

Corkage fees apply at £12 plus VAT per bottle of wine, £15 plus VAT per bottle of champagne, and £1 plus VAT per beer bottle. These charges are in addition to the dry hire fee when using external caterers.

Standard events run until 22:00. A late license can be acquired until midnight for an additional £500 plus VAT per hour from 22:00 onwards. Setup and breakdown times should be discussed when booking.

Available AV includes plasma TV (£150 plus VAT), PA system (£300 plus VAT), conference projector (£250 plus VAT), and microphones (£85 plus VAT each). An AV technician costs £85 plus VAT per hour with a 4-hour minimum and is recommended for more than 3 microphones or lapel microphones.

Yes, Asia House is fully accessible. The building has a lift to access bathrooms and a ramp is placed outside for wheelchair users during arrival and departure. The venue confirms wheelchair accessibility for guests who cannot use stairlifts.

Waiting staff are included in most room hire quotes and DDR packages. However, when using external caterers under dry hire arrangements, waiting staff are not provided and must be arranged separately at additional cost.

Asia House cannot accommodate weddings for 240+ guests and will decline bookings that exceed their capacity limits. The venue is suitable for corporate events, private dining, receptions, and meetings but may refer clients to alternative venues if requirements cannot be met.
