Frequently asked questions

The Light auditorium can accommodate up to 1,000 delegates and is available for full-day hire only with a minimum of 110 people required. Pricing varies based on event type and requirements - contact the venue directly for specific film and photo shoot rates as these may differ from standard conference pricing.

Standard venue access is from 8:30am to 5:00pm. For film and photo shoots requiring different hours or overnight access, special arrangements may be possible but must be discussed during booking.

The Light comes equipped with cutting-edge audiovisual equipment including projectors, screens, PA systems, and microphones. All spaces feature the latest AV technology, though specific equipment lists should be confirmed when booking for film and photo requirements.

Friends House does not allow external catering - all food and beverage must be provided by their in-house team. They do not provide dinner services or alcohol, but offer a wide range of non-alcoholic options and various catering packages from £39-£52 per person including VAT.

Friends House offers 33 meeting rooms and event spaces, plus outdoor areas including a beautiful garden and courtyard that can provide unique photo opportunities. All spaces feature natural daylight which is ideal for photography.

Rooms are not held without confirmation and are available for others to book until secured. For catering orders, final numbers must be confirmed with short notice (as little as 8 days for some events). New customers must complete a customer form to hold space in the diary.

All venue hire is VAT exempt and includes complimentary water on arrival, dedicated screen or projector, complimentary Wi-Fi access, and complimentary flip chart. The venue is located directly opposite Euston Station for easy access.

Friends House cannot accommodate dinner events, does not provide alcohol service, and some events may not be suitable for the venue's ethos. They have declined certain events stating they were 'not suitable for our venue' without specific details provided.

Setup arrangements vary by event type and duration. For multi-day events, overnight holds may be possible. Specific setup times, breakdown schedules, and any additional access fees should be discussed when booking as these may incur extra charges.
