Benjamin Lay 3 is located on the second floor and is equipped with the latest AV. Bright colours, natural daylight and versatile room layout options, this room is ideal for your next event for up to 100 delegates in theatre style.

If you also need a breakout space for your meeting, then there is no better option to be found than Benjamin Lay 1 and 2 on the other side of the lobby. As a full suite you will also have a private access to your catering area between the two rooms.




Frequently asked questions

Room hire rates vary by space and duration. The Waldo Williams 1 (16 guests boardroom) costs £595.00 for 09:00-17:00, while the Ada Salter Suite 1-2 (22 cabaret) costs £850.00 for 09:00-17:00. The Marjorie Sykes room (28 boardroom) is £975.00 for 08:30-17:00. All venue hire is VAT exempt.

Full day catering packages include: £47.00 inc VAT per person (welcome tea/coffee/pastries, mid-morning tea/coffee/biscuits, deli buffet lunch, afternoon tea/coffee/cake, still/sparkling water) or £52.00 inc VAT per person (same as above but with hot finger food buffet lunch instead of deli). A premium package at £39.00 net per person includes working lunch instead of buffet.

All room hire includes complimentary dedicated screen or projector, complimentary Wi-Fi access, and complimentary flip chart. Some rooms like the Benjamin Lay Suite also include lectern, roving microphones, PA system, and hybrid options for virtual attendees.

Capacities vary by room: Ada Salter Suite accommodates up to 22 cabaret style, Waldo Williams 1 holds up to 16 boardroom, Marjorie Sykes fits 28 boardroom, and Benjamin Lay Suite can accommodate 70 cabaret or 154 theatre with an additional breakout space for 80 theatre or 42 cabaret.

External catering is not allowed. Friends House provides a wide variety of food and drink options through their in-house catering service. They do not serve alcohol but offer a wide range of non-alcoholic options.

For short notice bookings, final food orders need to be confirmed at least one week before the event. The venue requires advance notice to ensure proper catering preparation and availability.

Standard venue access is typically from 08:00/08:30 to 17:00, though some quotes show 09:00-17:00 access. The venue can accommodate meetings from 9am-5pm and appears to have flexibility for different timing requirements based on the event needs.

The Light Auditorium has a minimum requirement of 110 people and is only available on a full day basis. Budget constraints appear to affect availability, as the venue has declined bookings with budgets of £100-200 for room hire, suggesting higher minimum rates apply.

Friends House does not offer accommodation. For multi-day conferences or events requiring overnight stays, guests need to arrange separate accommodation elsewhere in London.
