Located on the second floor, Benjamin Lay 1 and 2 is a versatile room which can accomodate up to 80 delegates in theatre style. It's also a perfect breakout space for Benjamin Lay 3. The room comes with state- of-the-art AV, air-conditioning and natural daylight.

Frequently asked questions

Room hire rates vary by specific space within the Business category. For example, Waldo Williams 1 costs £595.00 (VAT exempt) for 09:00-17:00 and accommodates up to 16 guests boardroom style. The Marjorie Sykes room costs £975.00 for 08:30-17:00 and accommodates up to 28 boardroom style. All venue hire is VAT exempt and includes complimentary water on arrival, dedicated screen or projector, complimentary Wi-Fi access, and complimentary flip chart.

Full day catering packages are available at £47.00 inc VAT per person (includes welcome tea/coffee/pastries, mid-morning tea/coffee/biscuits, deli buffet lunch, afternoon tea/coffee/cake, still and sparkling water) or £52.00 inc VAT per person (same as above but with hot finger food buffet lunch instead of deli). A Full day Premium package is available at £39.00 net per person including welcome refreshments, mid-morning break, working lunch, afternoon refreshments, and still/sparkling water.

External catering is not allowed at Friends House. The venue has a wide variety of food and drink options available through their in-house catering. Friends House does not serve alcohol, however they have a wide range of non-alcoholic options available.

Budget requirements vary significantly by space and guest count. Some enquiries with budgets of £100-£200 were declined as being outside their range. The venue appears to have minimum thresholds that depend on the specific space and number of guests, but exact minimums are not specified for all rooms.

Final food orders need to be confirmed with sufficient notice. For short-notice bookings, final food orders may need to be placed 8 days before the event date. It's recommended to confirm catering requirements as early as possible to ensure availability.

Standard venue access is typically from 08:00/08:30 to 17:00, though some spaces offer access from 09:00-17:00. Meeting spaces are generally available from 9am-5pm. The venue does not appear to offer evening or overnight access for most Business spaces.
