The Wilberforce Room is a flexible, multi-purpose space that can host events for up to 273 guests theatre style, 240 for dinner or 350 standing.

Perfect for a variety of different events, from conferences to dinners and parties, the Wilberforce Room has all of the unique charm of a 19th century warehouse, whilst being brought up to date with a state of the art audio-visual system. There is direct access to the adjacent Quayside Room which provides the perfect breakout space.




Frequently asked questions

The Wilberforce Room costs £2,450-£3,100 + VAT per day and accommodates up to 250 theatre style, 180 cabaret, or 300 standing. The Riverside Room costs £2,000-£2,350 + VAT per day for up to 120 theatre style or 250 standing reception. Additional spaces include the Quayside Room at £1,300 + VAT (55 theatre) and Docklands Boardroom at £750-£820 + VAT (20 boardroom style).

All rooms include projector, screen, PA system with 1 handheld microphone, and Wi-Fi at no extra charge. Optional add-ons include AV technician support at £250-£350 + VAT, additional microphones at £50 + VAT each, stage setup at £500-£600 + VAT, and uplighters at £25 + VAT each beyond the 4 included.

Standard daytime events run 9:00am-5:00pm with 8:00am access for setup. Evening events typically run 6:00pm-11:30pm with 5:30pm access. The venue can accommodate longer hours and multi-day bookings with adjusted pricing.

Bovingdons is the in-house caterer for London Museum Docklands. Daytime packages start from £50 + VAT per person including three tea/coffee services, lunch buffet, and refreshments. Christmas packages start from £107 + VAT per person, and summer packages from £117 + VAT per person.

Events are initially held on 'second option' while awaiting confirmation from other clients. To secure a 'first option' or confirmed booking, you need to be ready to sign a contract. The venue may deadline other clients if you're prepared to commit immediately.

Yes, multiple rooms can be hired simultaneously. The Wilberforce Room connects directly to the Quayside Room for breakout space. For larger events, you can hire the Riverside Room with its private terrace alongside other spaces. The venue offers exclusive hire options for events requiring multiple areas.

The venue has a maximum capacity of 250 seated or 350 standing across all spaces. Events requiring more than 500 people cannot be accommodated. The venue is fully accessible and offers charity discounts for qualifying organizations.

London Museum Docklands is housed in a Grade I listed Georgian warehouse, making it Canary Wharf's only Grade I listed venue. The space features original wooden beams, exposed brick walls, and wooden floors, combining historic character with modern AV capabilities. Guests can also access museum galleries and arrange private tours.
