How does the booking process work and what are the payment terms?
Events are initially held on 'second option' while awaiting confirmation from other clients. To secure a 'first option' or confirmed booking, you need to be ready to sign a contract. The venue may deadline other clients if you're prepared to commit immediately.
Can multiple rooms be hired together and what are the layout options?
Yes, multiple rooms can be hired simultaneously. The Wilberforce Room connects directly to the Quayside Room for breakout space. For larger events, you can hire the Riverside Room with its private terrace alongside other spaces. The venue offers exclusive hire options for events requiring multiple areas.
Are there any restrictions on event types or special requirements?
The venue has a maximum capacity of 250 seated or 350 standing across all spaces. Events requiring more than 500 people cannot be accommodated. The venue is fully accessible and offers charity discounts for qualifying organizations.
What makes this venue unique compared to other corporate event spaces?
London Museum Docklands is housed in a Grade I listed Georgian warehouse, making it Canary Wharf's only Grade I listed venue. The space features original wooden beams, exposed brick walls, and wooden floors, combining historic character with modern AV capabilities. Guests can also access museum galleries and arrange private tours.
What are the contact details and working hours for bookings?
Contact Cristina Giudice, Events Sales & Marketing Manager, at 020 7814 5516 or cgiudice@londonmuseum.org.uk. Her working days are Monday to Thursday 9:30am-5:15pm. For Friday inquiries, contact venuehire@londonmuseum.org.uk.
Are there package deals available for conferences or multi-day events?
