The Muscovado Hall is the museum entrance during the day however can be transformed to provide a stunning backdrop for evening events. With exposed columns and oak wood floors an in-built bar can be erected, making it ideal for dinners and receptions. The whole ground floor can be hired for large receptions up to 400 people.

The Wilberforce Room costs £2,450-£3,100 + VAT per day and holds up to 180 for dinner and dance or 250 theatre style. The Riverside Room costs £2,000-£2,350 + VAT per day for up to 100 standing reception with private terrace access for 350 additional guests. The Muscovado Hall can be combined with other spaces for exclusive hire accommodating up to 400 people for large receptions at £7,600-£9,290 + VAT.

Christmas packages start from £107-£162 + VAT per person including venue hire, canapés, bowl food, unlimited drinks, and cloakroom. Bovingdons is the house caterer providing bespoke menus for gala dinners and private parties. Summer packages with BBQ and food stations start from £117 + VAT per person, with indoor/outdoor options available on the private terrace.

All rooms include projector, screen, PA system with 1 handheld microphone, and Wi-Fi as standard. Additional services available include AV technician support at £250-£350 + VAT, extra microphones at £50 + VAT each, stage setup at £500-£600 + VAT, and uplighters at £25 + VAT each (4 included free).

Standard evening events run 18:30-23:00 with earlier access available from 18:00. Day events typically operate 09:00-17:00 with 08:00-08:30 setup access. The venue can accommodate extended hours and build days when required, with specific timing arrangements confirmed during booking.

The venue offers a one-way flow system entering through Muscovado Hall with bars in multiple locations and full terrace access. Combined hire pricing starts from £7,600 + VAT depending on spaces and duration.

The venue partners with Prelude for DJ services and offers live music capabilities with proper sound systems. Christmas packages include DJ Ash for live mixing, and the venue can arrange cocktail masterclasses through their catering partners. Cloakroom service is included in most packages, and guided museum tours can be arranged as add-ons.

The venue allows flexibility for bringing your own festive décor and works with external suppliers. Bovingdons is the house caterer, but external catering arrangements may be possible with prior approval.
