What AV equipment is included in the room hire and what are the additional costs?

All rooms include projector, screen, PA system with 1 handheld microphone, and Wi-Fi at no extra charge. Additional services cost extra: AV technician £250-£350 + VAT, extra microphones £50 + VAT each, stage setup £500-£600 + VAT, and uplighters £25 + VAT each (4 included free). The Wilberforce Room also includes a lectern.

What are the standard event timings and access hours?

Standard daytime events run 9:00-17:00, with evening events typically 18:30-23:00. Access is usually provided 1 hour before guest arrival (e.g., 8:00 access for 9:00 start). The venue can accommodate extended hours and build days when necessary, with costs varying based on specific requirements.

Who provides catering and what are the typical package costs?

Bovingdons is the in-house caterer for daytime events, with packages starting from £50 + VAT per person for full-day conference catering including refreshments and lunch. Christmas packages start from £107 + VAT per person at Docklands and £131 + VAT at London Museum Spaces. Alternative caterers are available from an approved list provided in the venue brochure.

Can multiple rooms be hired together and what are the combined rates?

Yes, multiple rooms can be hired simultaneously. For example, the Wilberforce Room and Riverside Room together cost £4,850 + VAT per day. For large events requiring exclusive venue hire, the Muscovado Hall and Riverside Room combination costs £7,600-£9,290 + VAT depending on timing and requirements. What is the booking process and payment timeline?

Events are initially held on 'second option' while awaiting confirmation from other clients. To secure a 'first option' or confirmed booking, you must be ready to sign a contract. The venue requires specific event details including timings, setup requirements, and catering preferences before finalizing quotes and availability.

Are there any restrictions on event types or special requirements?

The venue has a maximum capacity of 250 people in theatre layout across all spaces. Events requiring more than 500 people cannot be accommodated. The venue is fully accessible and offers charity discounts for qualifying organizations. All events must comply with the venue's guidelines, and external suppliers may need approval.

The venue offers guided museum tours, private terrace access (Riverside Room), cloakroom facilities, and professional event coordination.
