The Riverside Room, which is located on the right side of the Muscovado Hall as you enter the museum, benefits from its own entrance and private terrace meaning guests can enjoy the Canary Wharf skyline, as well as the stunning atmosphere of the quayside.

With exposed brick walls and original wooden columns and floors, the Riverside Room is a flexible space. The private terrace has additional capacity for 350 standing, where delegates can enjoy a break from their event.




Frequently asked questions

The Wilberforce Room costs £2,450 + VAT per day (9am-5pm) and accommodates up to 150 cabaret style or 250 theatre style. The Riverside Room costs £2,350 + VAT per day and holds up to 100 cabaret/theatre or 250 standing reception, with access to a private terrace for 350 standing. Smaller spaces include the Quayside Room at £1,300 + VAT (55 theatre) and Docklands Boardroom at £820 + VAT (20 boardroom style).

All rooms include projector, screen, PA system with 1 handheld microphone, and Wi-Fi at no extra charge. Additional services cost extra: AV technician £250-350 + VAT, extra microphones £50 + VAT each, stage setup £500-600 + VAT, and additional uplighters £25 + VAT each (4 uplighters included free).

Bovingdons is the in-house caterer for London Museum Docklands. Sample packages include daytime conference catering at £50 + VAT per person (tea/coffee, lunch buffet, soft drinks, cakes) and Christmas packages from £162 + VAT per person including canapés, bowls, unlimited drinks and room hire. All catering must be arranged through Bovingdons.

Standard event hours are 9am-5pm with 8am access for setup. Evening events typically run 6pm-11:30pm with 5:30pm access. The venue can accommodate extended hours and multi-day bookings with adjusted pricing. All rooms include setup time within the hire period.

Events are held on 'first option' or 'second option' basis until contracts are signed. The venue requires confirmation and signed contracts to secure dates, and will deadline other clients when ready to proceed. The venue's maximum capacity is 250 seated or 350 standing (using terrace space). For larger events requiring 300+ guests, exclusive hire of multiple rooms is available, such as combining Muscovado Hall and Riverside Room for £7,600 + VAT, creating flow between spaces with multiple bars and access to the outdoor terrace.

The venue accommodates various event types including conferences, corporate parties, filming, and charity events. Filming requires site visits and specific arrangements. The venue is fully accessible and offers charity discounts. Some events may require additional approvals or have specific setup requirements that need advance discussion.
