With seating for 70 to 120 guests, its striking oak panelling and vaulted ceiling create a memorable dining experience. For larger events, exclusive hire of the entire building welcomes up to 170 guests across sophisticated rooms and private gardens for welcome receptions. Gray's Inn combines historic charm with modern flexibility, making it the timeless backdrop for your next event.

Frequently asked questions

The Large Pension Room costs £1,450+VAT for weekdays (8:00-17:00) and £1,595+VAT for Sundays. A 10% charity discount is available, reducing the weekday rate to £1,305+VAT. Special rates may be offered for multiple Sunday bookings.

Two main packages are offered: Package 1 at £55+VAT per person includes tea/coffee/pastries on arrival, mid-morning refreshments, gourmet sandwich lunch with crisps and fruit, and afternoon tea/coffee/cake. Package 2 at £75+VAT per person includes breakfast baps on arrival, mid-morning refreshments, fork buffet with 3 main courses/1 salad/1 dessert, and afternoon tea/coffee/cake. Both include still/sparkling water throughout.

The Large Pension Room includes a screen, lectern, and 3 microphones as standard. The Bingham Room is equipped with projector and screen with integrated ceiling speakers, 75-inch CleverTouch TV, and 2 handheld microphones.

The Large Pension Room accommodates 110 maximum in theatre style, 60 for banqueting with round tables, and 50 for banqueting with long tables. The Bingham Room holds 60 in theatre style and 30 in boardroom style.

100% payment is required six weeks before the event date. This is a firm requirement with no mention of deposit options or payment plans.

Viewings are available Monday to Friday between 09:00-11:00 and 15:00-17:30. You need to contact the venue directly to check availability and arrange a specific viewing time.

There is usually an extra charge for room use after 5pm, though this may be waived on occasion. The exact fee amount is not specified, so you should confirm this when booking evening events.

Venue hire does not include decorations, so you'll need to arrange your own. You can bring your own cake but must sign a disclaimer on arrival. External catering arrangements are not clearly specified in the standard terms.

The Large Pension Room and Benchers Library can be hired together for £2,500+VAT (09:00-21:00). For weddings, multiple spaces including The Large Pension Room, The Benchers' Library, and The Small Pension Room are available from 12pm to midnight on Saturdays or 12pm to 10:30pm on Sundays.

Quotes are valid for 30 days from receipt and may be subject to change after this period. Bookings are taken on a first-come, first-served basis, and provisional holds may be released if no response is received by specified deadlines.
