The Hall at Gray's Inn is a grand, versatile space ideal for corporate events, gala dinners, and awards ceremonies. Conveniently located between Chancery lane and Holborn stations, it blends historic elegance with modern comfort. Seating up to 120 guests for award dinners and accommodating up to 180 for standing receptions, The Hall features soaring ceilings and stunning wood panelling, creating an impressive atmosphere.




Frequently asked questions

The Large Pension Room costs £1,450+VAT for weekdays (8am-5pm) and £1,595+VAT for Sundays. The Bingham Room is £1,350+VAT for full day hire or £675+VAT for half-day (4 hours). Combined hire of Large Pension Room and Benchers Library costs £2,500+VAT for extended hours (9am-9pm). Special rates and charity discounts (10%) may be available for multiple bookings or qualifying organizations.

The Large Pension Room accommodates 110 guests in theatre style, 60 for banqueting with round tables, or 50 for banqueting with long tables. The Bingham Room holds 60 in theatre style or 30 in boardroom layout. The Hall can seat 120 for award dinners or accommodate 180 for standing receptions.

Package 1 costs £55+VAT per person and includes tea/coffee/pastries on arrival, mid-morning refreshments, gourmet sandwich lunch with crisps and fruit, and afternoon tea/coffee/cake. Package 2 is £75+VAT per person with breakfast baps, mid-morning refreshments, a three-course fork buffet, and afternoon refreshments. Both packages include still/sparkling water throughout the day.

The Large Pension Room includes a screen, lectern, and 3 microphones as standard. The Bingham Room comes with a projector and screen with integrated ceiling speakers, 75-inch CleverTouch TV, and 2 handheld microphones. All AV equipment is included in the room hire price with no additional charges.

100% payment is required six weeks before the event date. Quotes are valid for 30 days from receipt and may be subject to change after this period. The venue operates on a first-come, first-served basis for bookings.

Venue viewings are available Monday to Friday between 9am-11am and 3pm-5:30pm. You need to contact the venue directly to arrange a viewing appointment and check availability for your preferred date and time.

There is usually an extra charge for room use after 5pm, though this may be waived on occasion. Wedding packages include hire until midnight on Saturdays and 10:30pm on Sundays. Extended hours beyond standard times will incur additional costs that vary by event type and duration.

Venue hire does not include decorations - these must be arranged separately. External catering and decoration services can access the venue, though specific approval processes may apply. You can bring your own cake but must sign a disclaimer on arrival.

Wedding packages start at £225 inc VAT per person based on 60 guests minimum. This includes hire of multiple rooms (Large Pension Room, Benchers' Library, Small Pension Room) from 12pm-midnight (Saturdays) or 12pm-10:30pm (Sundays), two glasses of prosecco, three-course fine dining menu, half bottle of wine per person, one glass of prosecco for toast, and a menu tasting for the couple.

The Walks (five acres of private gardens) and Summer Marquee are available between 5th June - 24th July. The marquee accommodates up to 600 standing guests and includes integrated bar setup, PA system, dancefloor, ambient lighting, elegant toilets with attendants, and full event management. BBQ packages start from £138+VAT per person for minimum 400 guests.
