Frequently asked questions

The Lecture Hall accommodates up to 120 guests in theatre layout or up to 80-100 in cabaret style with tables of 10. The Council Chamber holds up to 80 guests in theatre layout or up to 32 cabaret-style. The Dubai Meeting Room seats up to 14 boardroom style with additional standing space around the table.

The DDR is £89 plus VAT per person and includes room hire, AV equipment (built-in screen, projector, speakers), manned cloakroom, arrival refreshments (JING tea, Searcys coffee, pastries), morning refreshments, finger food buffet lunch, and afternoon refreshments. The minimum is 80 guests for the Lecture Hall package or 20 guests for the Council Chamber package.

The Council Chamber has a room hire rate of £1,000 plus VAT for a full day (09:00-17:00). The Dubai Meeting Room is £667 plus VAT per day for Monday to Friday 8am-5pm hire. The Lecture Hall and Council Chamber combined for private events start at £2,500 plus VAT room hire.

Built-in equipment includes dropdown screen and projector, speakers, stage with lectern and lectern microphone, 2 hand-held or lapel microphones, and AV assistance on arrival and on calls. Video-conferencing facilities and LCD screens are available in premium meeting spaces.

Standard business hours are Monday to Friday 8am-5pm for meeting room hire. The venue is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, though Friday evening events are possible for private functions in spaces like Room 1847.

Provisional bookings are typically held for 5 working days, though some quotes mention specific dates (e.g., held until 17 February 2025 or 26 February 2025). Site visits can be arranged during the option period, and contracts with deposit invoices are sent to secure confirmed bookings.

Hot fork buffet lunch upgrades are available for £10-20 plus VAT per person depending on the package. The Council Chamber DDR can upgrade from finger food buffet to hot fork buffet for £20 plus VAT per person, while the Lecture Hall upgrade is £10 plus VAT per person.

Room 1847 requires a minimum food and beverage spend of £2,500 plus VAT and 12.5% service charge, with room hire of £750 plus VAT. Minimum menu prices start from £45 plus VAT per person with preorders required. The space includes a private bar and accommodates up to 60 guests.

Security is included in event packages and can be arranged at the door for private functions. The Dubai Meeting Room has windows with curtains that cannot be seen from the street when closed, while still allowing natural light. A private entrance via Little Sanctuary from Great George Street provides direct access to meeting rooms.

There is no on-site parking, but nearby options include ParkBee locations on Abbey Orchard Street and Victoria. Equipment can be unloaded at Little Sanctuary with direct access to meeting rooms via a side door. Westminster Council trade parking information is available for business requirements.
