The Riverside Room, which is located on the right side of the Muscovado Hall as you enter the museum, benefits from its own entrance and private terrace, meaning guests can enjoy the Canary Wharf skyline, as well as the stunning atmosphere of the quayside.

With exposed brick walls and original wooden columns and floors, the Riverside Room provides a unique backdrop for receptions of up to 300 guests and 180 for a dinner dance. The private terrace has additional capacity for 350 standing.

The Riverside Room costs £2,000-£2,350 + VAT per day for up to 180 cabaret or 300 standing reception, with access to a private terrace for an additional 350 standing guests. Christmas packages start from £107-£162 + VAT per person with minimum numbers required.

Bovingdons is the house caterer providing all food and beverage services. Christmas packages include canapes, bowl food, unlimited prosecco/cocktails for the first hour, and unlimited house beer, wine and soft drinks. Daytime packages start from £50 + VAT per person including three tea/coffee services, lunch buffet, and refreshments. All catering must be arranged through the venue's approved caterers.

All rooms include projector, screen, PA system with 1 handheld microphone, and Wi-Fi access at no extra charge. Additional services cost extra: AV technician £250-£350 + VAT, extra microphones £50 + VAT each, stage setup £500-£600 + VAT, and additional uplighters £25 + VAT each beyond the 4 included uplighters.

Standard daytime events run 9:00am-5:00pm with 8:00am access for setup. Evening events typically run 6:00pm-11:30pm with 5:30pm access. Christmas parties run 6:30pm-11:00pm. The venue can accommodate extended hours but additional charges may apply for late finishes beyond standard times.

The Muscovado Hall and Riverside Room can be combined for exclusive hire accommodating up to 350 guests with flow between spaces and access to the outdoor terrace. The Wilberforce Room can be paired with smaller meeting rooms like the Quayside Room or Docklands Boardroom for events requiring breakout spaces.

Events are held on 'second option' until contracts are signed, meaning other clients can potentially take priority dates. The venue requires contract confirmation to secure dates definitively. Staff working days are Monday-Thursday 9:30am-5:15pm, with Friday inquiries handled by the general venue hire email.

The maximum seated capacity is 240 people across all spaces. The Wilberforce Room accommodates 150 cabaret/180 dinner or 250 theatre style. The Riverside Room holds 100 standing reception and cabaret or theatre, or 180 for dinner dance. Theatre layout capacity reaches 250 maximum, while cabaret style is limited to 180 maximum.
