Frequently asked questions

For a half-day booking, the auditorium-only hire is £13,200 (+VAT) and the entire venue (auditorium and all foyer spaces) is £21,890 (+VAT). Additional staffing costs and technical requirements including AV are quoted separately and are mandatory add-ons to the base venue fee.

Bridge Theatre is primarily available for weekday daytime hires only. Monday through Saturday evenings are generally unavailable due to their own productions running at 19:30. Sunday hires may be possible depending on their production schedule, but availability must be confirmed case-by-case.

The lower foyer can comfortably accommodate 50 people and is fully wheelchair accessible. This space is ideal for meetings, presentations, and networking events with a more intimate setting than the main auditorium.

The Business space includes a flat screen TV with HDMI connection for presentations and training. Any additional AV requirements beyond this basic setup would be quoted separately as mandatory technical costs.

Bridge Theatre's production schedule is not always confirmed far in advance, particularly for dates in September 2026 and beyond. They recommend contacting them later in the year for future dates as their schedule may not be finalized, and availability depends entirely on their production calendar.

The venue is completely unavailable during production changeover periods between shows, even if there are no performances scheduled. These technical rehearsal and changeover periods make the building entirely unavailable for private hire regardless of timing or space requirements.

You can hire spaces individually or as part of larger packages. The Business space (lower foyer) can be hired separately, or you can book the entire venue which includes the auditorium and all foyer spaces for £21,890 (+VAT) for a half-day booking.

Bridge Theatre offers food and beverage packages through their catering partner St. John. The Business space is suitable for networking drinks and smaller catering setups, though specific catering costs would be quoted separately based on your requirements.

Daytime events typically need to conclude before evening performances begin. Friday daytime events must finish in time for evening performances, and specific end times depend on the day's performance schedule and technical requirements.

The venue has set rates with the half-day auditorium hire at £13,200 (+VAT) being the standard pricing structure. When a client mentioned a £6,000 budget for a 9am-1pm teacher talk, this was significantly below the venue's standard rates, suggesting limited flexibility in pricing.
