Frequently asked questions

For a half-day booking, the auditorium-only hire is £13,200 (+VAT) and the entire venue (auditorium and all foyer spaces) is £21,890 (+VAT). Additional staffing costs and technical requirements including AV are quoted separately. Catering packages are available through their partner St. John if required.

The venue is primarily available for weekday daytimes only, as Monday-Saturday evenings are typically unavailable due to their own theatre productions. Sunday hires may be possible depending on their production schedule. Evening availability is extremely limited due to regular 19:30 performances.

The main foyer comfortably fits 400 people and is suitable for fundraisers, corporate events, product launches and award ceremonies. The auditorium can accommodate larger numbers, with the venue having hosted events for up to 1,000 people in theatre-style seating.

Yes, when the theatre has performances, events can only be held during morning and afternoon hours. The venue typically has two performances on Saturdays (matinee and evening) making those days completely unavailable for hire. Production changeover periods between shows also make the space unavailable.

The venue's production schedule is not always confirmed far in advance, particularly for dates over a year away. For September 2026 bookings, they advised checking back later in the year when the schedule would be confirmed, though Wednesday 19:30 performances are typical.

Catering packages are provided through their Michelin Star partner St. John. The venue can accommodate various catering styles from canapés to full meals. Clients can also bring their own caterers, though this would need to be arranged and approved by the venue.

Basic technical requirements and AV equipment are available but quoted separately from the venue hire fee. The venue can accommodate projection capabilities, sound systems, and staging requirements, but specific technical needs must be discussed and priced individually based on the event requirements.

The venue has indicated they cannot accommodate lengthy bookings due to their production schedule. Setup and breakdown times are limited by their performance schedule, and multi-day hires appear to be challenging due to their regular show commitments.

You can hire either the auditorium-only or the entire venue including all foyer spaces. The main foyer offers stunning views of the Thames and Tower Bridge with flexible lighting and layout options. The auditorium provides theatre-style seating for larger capacity events.

When one client mentioned a £6,000 budget for a half-day auditorium hire (compared to the £13,200 standard rate), the venue representative requested budget information, suggesting there may be some flexibility or different pricing tiers available depending on the event type and requirements.
