Frequently asked questions

Bridge Theatre is primarily available for weekday daytime events only. Monday through Saturday evenings are generally unavailable due to their own theatrical productions, which typically include 19:30 performances. Sunday hires may be possible depending on their production schedule. The venue is also unavailable during production changeover periods between shows.

For half-day bookings, the auditorium-only hire is £13,200 plus VAT, while the entire venue (auditorium and all foyer spaces) costs £21,890 plus VAT. Additional mandatory staffing costs apply separately, and technical requirements including AV equipment are quoted additionally. Food and beverage packages are available through their catering partner St. John.

The venue can accommodate events for various sizes, with quotes provided for events ranging from 100 to 900 people. The specific capacity depends on whether you hire the auditorium only or the entire venue including foyer spaces. Layout options include theatre style and cabaret arrangements depending on your event requirements.

Bridge Theatre's production schedule is confirmed well in advance, but they may not have availability confirmed for dates more than a year ahead. For September 2026 events, they indicated their production schedule wasn't yet confirmed. It's recommended to inquire early, but be prepared that availability may not be guaranteed until their production calendar is finalized.

The venue offers technical requirements including AV equipment, but these are quoted separately from the base venue hire fee. Specific equipment details and costs are provided upon request based on your event's technical needs. All technical requirements must be discussed and quoted individually.

Bridge Theatre works with St. John as their catering partner for food and beverage packages. While the venue can accommodate events without catering, external catering arrangements would need to be discussed with the venue directly. Their standard offering includes F&B packages through their established partnership.

Daytime events are the primary offering, with specific timing restrictions due to evening performances. Setup and breakdown times need to be coordinated around the theatre's production schedule. Events requiring 9am to 1pm access have been accommodated, but all timing must work around their performance commitments.

Bridge Theatre can accommodate various event types including corporate events, conferences, and presentations. However, they cannot accommodate long-term bookings or events that conflict with their production schedule. Events requiring evening slots are generally not possible Monday through Saturday due to their 19:30 performances.

If Bridge Theatre cannot accommodate your event due to their production schedule, they will inform you directly and may assist in finding alternative venues. They prioritize their theatrical productions, so availability is always subject to their performance calendar and production changeover periods.

Beyond the base venue hire fee (£13,200-£21,890 plus VAT), you must budget for mandatory staffing costs, technical/AV requirements, and any food and beverage services. Each of these elements is quoted separately based on your specific event needs and requirements.
