What are the capacity limits for different event setups in the Events space?
The auditorium accommodates up to 70 people in classroom layout. The Project Space holds 20-30 attendees seated in round table style and up to 50 standing or theatre style. Studio spaces can accommodate larger groups, with some spaces handling up to 150-200 people for dinners and events.
What AV equipment is included and what are the technical capabilities?
The venue provides a 5-meter wide screen projector with high-quality speakers for screenings. There's also an 80-inch flat screen TV available. Gallery lighting and high-quality audio and projection capabilities are included in the Events space setup.
What are the viewing hours and when can I schedule a site visit?
The venue is open for viewings Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. You can book a tour time directly with the Development Coordinator to see the spaces and discuss your event requirements.
Can I bring external catering and what kitchen facilities are available?
External catering is allowed, and kitchen use is permitted based on the nature of your event. However, the venue has approved drinks suppliers or charges corkage for drinks. Food is not usually allowed in studios, though exceptions may be made depending on the event.
What furniture and setup options are provided?
The venue provides rectangular wooden trestle tables sufficient for 50 guests, along with chairs. Tables and chairs can be set up according to your event requirements. The space offers flexible design options for different event layouts.
What is the payment structure and booking process?
A 30% deposit is required to hold the date and secure the space. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before the event. The Finance team will issue invoices, and you can confirm final numbers closer to your event date.
Are there restrictions on ceiling height and room dimensions for installations?
Some spaces require specific dimensions - for example, one client needed a 3-meter high ceiling and around 8-meter length for their setup. The painting and drawing studio was suggested as appropriate for installations requiring these specifications.
What are the pricing options for team building and creative workshops?
Team building and creative art activities cost £59.50 per person (excluding VAT) for the art activity alone. With alcoholic drinks included (beer and white wine), the price increases to £72.50 per person (excluding VAT). Sessions typically run 2-3 hours minimum.
Can I bring alcohol and what are the drink policies?
Single bottles of champagne for small personal events appear to be allowed. For larger events, the venue has approved drinks suppliers or charges corkage fees for external alcohol. Beer and white wine can be included in packages for an additional cost.
What catering add-ons are available and at what cost?
Grazing platters with meats and cheeses are available at approximately £15 per person (excluding VAT). The venue can provide nibbles and refreshments, though specific catering policies vary by event type and space used.
