Frequently asked questions

The Wilberforce Room costs £2,450-£3,000+VAT per day and accommodates up to 250 theatre style or 180 cabaret. The Riverside Room costs £2,000-£2,350+VAT per day for up to 100 cabaret/theatre or 250 standing reception. The Quayside Room costs £1,300+VAT per day for 55 theatre layout. The Docklands Boardroom costs £750-£820+VAT per day for up to 20 people boardroom style.

All rooms include projector, screen, PA system with 1 handheld mic, and Wi-Fi at no extra charge. Additional services cost extra: AV technician £250-£350+VAT, extra microphones £50+VAT each, stage setup £500-£600+VAT, and uplighters £25+VAT each (4 included free).

Standard daytime events run 9:00-17:00 with 8:00-8:30 access for setup. Evening events typically run 18:30-23:00. The venue can accommodate extended hours and multi-day bookings with adjusted pricing.

Bovingdons is the in-house caterer for London Museum Docklands. Daytime packages start from £50+VAT per person including tea/coffee breaks, lunch, and refreshments. Christmas packages start from £107+VAT per person, and summer packages from £117+VAT per person.

Events are initially held on 'second option' while awaiting confirmation from other clients. To secure a 'first option' or confirmed booking, you need to be ready to sign a contract. The venue may deadline other clients if you're prepared to commit immediately.

The maximum capacity is 250 people seated or 350 standing (using the terrace). For larger events up to 350 people, you can hire multiple rooms together such as the Muscovado Hall and Riverside Room for £7,600+VAT, creating flow between spaces and access to the outdoor terrace.

The venue accommodates various event types including conferences, filming (5 consecutive days available), Christmas parties, charity events, and unusual events like break-dancing. Filming requires site visits and recces. The venue is fully accessible and offers charity discounts for qualifying organizations.

For example, a 250-person conference can use the Wilberforce Room as the main plenary space (£2,450+VAT), Riverside Room for catering/exhibition (£2,350+VAT), Rum Store for 100 people theatre (£1,400+VAT), Quayside Room for 40 people cabaret (£1,200+VAT), and the Docklands Boardroom for speakers (£750+VAT).

Christmas packages start from £107+VAT per person at Docklands, with specific packages like the Riverside Room Christmas package at £162+VAT per person (minimum 150 people) including room hire, canapés, bowls, unlimited drinks, and cloakroom.
