Frequently asked questions

The ground floor bar costs £300 + VAT per hour for exclusive use for up to 150 people standing. If the bar is not hired exclusively, it remains open to the public as it is a busy bar, so private hire is required to close it to the public.

The ground floor bar accommodates up to 150 people standing for networking and drinks receptions. Screen 5 (Renoir) seats 150 people and costs £2,313 + VAT per slot Monday-Sunday, while Screen 3 (Phoenix) seats 28 people and costs £682 + VAT per slot.

Evening slots are based on fitting around two regular evening shows. Options include 6pm-9pm, 5.30pm-8.30pm (early slot at Bloomsbury), or 8.30pm-11.30pm slots. If you want both evening slots, the price doubles as it affects two regular screenings.

Standard service includes a self-service selection of house wine, prosecco, beers and soft drinks with a maximum tab limit (budget £6 per person per drink). All food and drink orders must be placed 2 weeks ahead of your event to ensure staffing and stock, and orders cannot be guaranteed after this deadline.

Content must be delivered 72 hours prior to the technical rehearsal in DCP format as standard. If you have another format, conversion costs £500 + VAT. Additional fees apply for late delivery or missed technical rehearsals, and a 30-minute technical rehearsal is included at 10.30am prior to the event day.

After providing contract details, you'll receive a contract via DocuSign, then full payment is invoiced after signing. Coordination questions must be returned by a specific deadline (typically 2-3 weeks before) to arrange staffing and orders, and final food/drink numbers are needed 13 days prior to the event.

Screen hire includes use of the screen and projector, up to 3 handheld microphones, technical support, and a 30-minute technical rehearsal. The main screen features Sony 4K projection and Dolby Atmos sound system for high-quality presentations and screenings.

Curzon Bloomsbury is currently taking bookings from 1st August onwards across all sites. Some smaller screens (28-30 seaters) at Bloomsbury are not currently set up for private hires, so availability may be limited to specific screens.

Curzon can source films for private screenings, including new releases and classic titles regardless of whether currently showing on-site. However, some films may be unavailable for private screening or come at higher cost, requiring distributor approval once a venue and date are confirmed.
