Frequently asked questions

Screen 3 (Phoenix) costs £682 + VAT per slot for Monday-Sunday bookings. The hire includes use of the screen and projector, up to 3 handheld microphones, technical support, and a 30-minute technical rehearsal at 10:30am prior to your event day.

Evening slots are based on two shows per day - either 6pm-9pm or 8:30pm-11:30pm. At Bloomsbury, the early slot runs 5:30pm-8:30pm. If you want both evening slots, the price doubles. Weekend pricing differs from weekday rates, with higher costs for peak times.

Content must be delivered in DCP format as standard, with delivery required 72 hours prior to your technical rehearsal. If you have other formats, conversion costs £500 + VAT for content exceeding 20 minutes in length. Content must be provided in ProRes or MP4 format for conversion.

The smaller 28-30 seat screens at Bloomsbury are not currently set up for private hires. Only Screen 3 (Phoenix) with 28 seats is available for booking, while other small screens remain unavailable for private events.

In-house options include tea/coffee receptions, breakfast items, pizzas and light bites. For drinks, they recommend budgeting £6 per person per drink for house wine, prosecco, beers and soft drinks on a tab system. All food and drink orders must be placed 2 weeks ahead of your event, with no guarantees for orders made after this deadline.

Content must be delivered 72 hours before your technical rehearsal or event day. There are additional fees charged for late delivery or missed technical rehearsals, though specific amounts are not disclosed upfront.

Curzon Bloomsbury is currently taking bookings from 1st August 2025 onwards across all sites. Events before this date cannot be accommodated due to programming holds.

The hire includes Sony 4K projection, up to 3 handheld microphones, technical support staff, and a mandatory 30-minute technical rehearsal at 10:30am prior to your event. The screens feature reclining seats in a tiered theatre layout.

After confirming details, a contract is sent via DocuSign to the signatory. Once countersigned, full payment is invoiced ahead of the event. Coordination questions must be returned by a specified deadline (typically 2+ weeks before) to arrange staffing and confirm food/drink orders.

Curzon can source commercial films for you, including new releases and classic titles, regardless of whether they're currently showing on-site. However, some films may be unavailable for private screening or come at higher costs, requiring distributor approval once your venue and date are confirmed.
