Frequently asked questions

Room hire varies significantly by space and dates. Main Hall ranges from £1,000-£4,500 + VAT with minimum catering spends of £1,800-£2,000 + VAT. Room 201 costs £50-£76 + VAT per person (minimum 50-60 delegates) including full catering and AV. Smaller rooms like Room 204 cost £350-£700 + VAT with no minimum catering spend mentioned. Weekend events incur an additional £500 + VAT staff fee.

Main Hall accommodates up to 280 people theatre style, 200 cabaret style, or 300 theatre maximum. Room 201 holds 72 people cabaret style or 100 theatre style. Room 204&205 combined seats 100 theatre style, while Room 204 alone holds 20 boardroom style. Room 101 accommodates 100 theatre or 72 cabaret style.

A 10% deposit is required in advance via card payment for bookings. For smaller events, 100% prepayment is required based on contracted minimums. Any additions after the initial contract are invoiced separately or added to the final bill if close to the event date.

Security is mandatory for events running past 19:00, charged at £25 per hour + VAT with a minimum 4-hour shift (£100 + VAT minimum). Evening staffing is also required at £25 + VAT per hour. These costs are in addition to room hire and catering minimums.

Day Delegate Rates range from £50-£89 + VAT per person including arrival refreshments, breaks, lunch, and AV equipment. Individual items include: sandwich lunch £20 + VAT, tea/coffee £4.85-£6.10 + VAT per serving, canapés £22-£62.50 + VAT per person (4-10 pieces), bowl food £29-£51 + VAT per person, and drinks receptions £20-£28 + VAT per person per hour.

Standard AV includes 85" LCD monitors, 2x repeater screens, lectern with microphone, Mini PC, Wi-Fi, and basic AV support. Main Hall includes PA system, 2x LCD projectors, multiple microphones (lectern, roving, lapel, tabletop), infra-red hearing system, and dedicated AV technician. All rooms feature natural daylight and contemporary AV setups.

Day Delegate Rate packages typically require minimums of 50-100 people depending on the room. Room 201 requires minimum 50-60 delegates, Main Hall requires minimum 100 delegates, and smaller meeting rooms have no minimum delegate requirements but may have minimum catering spends instead.

House wine, beer, and soft drinks cost £20-£25 + VAT per person per hour, with Prosecco upgrade to £28 + VAT. Cashless or account bars have a minimum spend of £750 + VAT - if not reached, the remainder is added to your bill. Three-hour drinks packages cost £55 + VAT per person.

Day events typically run 8:00am-5:00pm or 9:00am-6:00pm. Evening hire starts from 18:00. Room setup is completed prior to your start time. Access times can be flexible - you may get earlier access if no daytime booking exists, but this cannot be guaranteed until closer to your event date.

Multi-day bookings that block large rooms require minimum daily catering spends. For example, Room 204&205 requires £1,000 + VAT minimum daily catering spend when booked for multiple consecutive days. This is in addition to the standard room hire charges.
