Grand Connaught Rooms brochureStanding on Great Queen Street, that connects Covent Garden with Holborn in the West End of London, is the Grade II* listed De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms. With a history dating back to 1775, the building has long been an important event venue, and was once home to the original Freemasons’ Tavern before becoming a hotel in 1909.
Since then, the venue has hosted some of the world‘s leading politicians, royalty and celebrities with its grand Georgian architecture and art-deco interiors offering 37 exceptional spaces for a wide range of conferences, exhibitions, celebrations and weddings.

Additional catering includes unlimited tea, coffee and refreshments at £11.50 per person inclusive of VAT, energising lunch at £20.95 per person, sandwich lunch at £12.95 per person, bacon or egg bap at £4.95 per person, and Danish pastries at £4.00 per person. All prices are inclusive of VAT.
What are the booking hold periods and confirmation requirements?
The venue offers joint 1st option holds for events, but these require decisions within specific timeframes. Booking holds are released if no updates are received, and confirmation decisions may be required by specific deadlines.
What are the minimum numbers and guarantee requirements?
Day Delegate packages require minimum guaranteed numbers of 10 people.
What AV equipment is included and what are the upgrade costs?
Standard package includes a 3000 lumen LCD projector with 8'x6' screen and flipchart. LCD projector and screen upgrades start from £195.00 inclusive of VAT, with bigger screen upgrades available at additional charges. The venue has in-house AV professionals available for support.
What are the standard event timings and any restrictions?
Standard business events typically run 09:00-17:00, with room hire packages covering these hours. All spaces must be vacated by 17:00 or additional de-rig charges apply. Setup time from 06:00-09:00 may be available complimentary for certain packages.
