Frequently asked questions

Screen 5 (Renoir) with 150 seats costs £2,313 + VAT per slot Monday-Sunday. Screen 3 (Phoenix) with 28 seats costs £682 + VAT per slot. Evening slots are either 5:30pm-8:30pm (early) or 8:30pm-11:30pm (late), with each slot priced separately - if you want both evening slots the price doubles.

The hire cost includes use of the screen and projector, up to 3 handheld microphones, technical support, and a 30-minute technical rehearsal at 10:30am prior to your event day. Content must be delivered 72 hours before the technical rehearsal, and there's a £500 + VAT conversion fee if your content isn't in DCP format.

Exclusive bar hire costs £300 + VAT per hour for up to 150 people standing. This is just for closing the bar to the public - all drinks are charged separately on top of this hourly rate. There's no service charge on food and drinks and no minimum spend requirement.

For drinks, they recommend budgeting £6 per person per drink for a self-service selection of house wine, prosecco, beers and soft drinks. Cocktails, G&Ts and hard seltzers require pre-ordering. Large popcorn costs £5 each and still water bottles cost £2.20 each. All food and drink orders must be placed 2 weeks before your event.

Yes, Curzon can source most films including new releases and classics, whether currently showing or not. The film cost is included in the screen hire price. However, some films may be unavailable for private screening or come at higher cost, so availability must be checked with distributors once you have a confirmed venue and date.

Curzon screens from DCP format as standard. If your content is in another format, they charge £500 + VAT for conversion of content exceeding 20 minutes in length. Content must be provided in ProRes or MP4 format for conversion and delivered 72 hours before your technical rehearsal or event.

After enquiry, they request a programming hold, then send contract details via DocuSign to your signatory. Once the contract is countersigned, they invoice for full payment ahead of the event. Coordination questions must be returned by 13 days before the event, and final food/drink numbers are needed at least 13 days prior.

Curzon Bloomsbury is currently taking bookings from August 1st onwards across all sites. Content must be delivered 72 hours ahead of your event or technical rehearsal. All food and drink orders require 2 weeks advance notice to ensure proper staffing and stock.

The smaller 28-30 seat screens at Bloomsbury are not currently set up for private hires. Only Screen 3 (Phoenix, 28 seats) and Screen 5 (Renoir, 150 seats) are available for private bookings, with customers sometimes directed to Camden or Victoria locations for smaller screen options.

If you don't hire the bar exclusively, it remains open to the public during your event. The bar is described as busy, so exclusive hire at £300 + VAT per hour is required to close it to the public and ensure private use for your guests.
