The Studio at Rich Mix

The Studio costs £1,525 + VAT for a 5-hour evening hire (6:30pm-11:30pm). It can be combined with The Mix space for £2,720 + VAT for a 7-hour hire (1pm-8pm). A mandatory technician is required at £125-£280 + VAT depending on duration, plus a £400 refundable damage deposit applies to dry hire bookings.

The Studio accommodates up to 100 guests in tiered theatre seating with space for an additional 50 chairs in front. For events requiring dining, seated capacity with catwalk space is limited to 100 guests. The Mix space can handle 150 seated or 300 standing when combined with The Studio.

Basic lighting is complimentary, but projection costs £75 + VAT and PA system with 4 microphones costs £155 + VAT. The space includes a theatre lighting rig, audio-visual mixing booth, large screen for projection, and backstage dressing area. A mandatory technician must be hired for all technical equipment.

There is a 4-hour minimum hire requirement for all spaces. The venue operates from 9am-9pm, with evening events possible until 11:30pm. Cinema screens have a 2-hour minimum hire, with Screen 3 costing £550 per hour for up to 59 guests.

Internal catering includes refreshment stations at £3.50 + VAT per person per service and drinks tokens at £5 + VAT each for wine, beer or soft drinks. External catering is permitted with a 10% corkage fee. The venue does not have a usable kitchen but works with external suppliers for dinner services.

The Streetside room prohibits amplified music due to noise restrictions and is non-exclusive with stairs accessing escape rooms. External decorations are allowed in cinema spaces. The venue does not accommodate late-night club events or events requiring loud music at all hours.

Registered charities receive a 20% discount with valid charity number. No discounts are available through third-party booking platforms like Hire Space. Events typically require budgets of £1,500-£2,000 minimum, and the venue may decline bookings that don't meet their standards or budget requirements.

Initial enquiries require event details including timings, guest numbers, and budget for quote preparation. Site visits can be arranged for viewing spaces. Dates are held provisionally during quote discussions, with final follow-ups typically occurring within 1-2 weeks before release if no confirmation is received.
