the Ashworth Centre is a purpose-built event space set beneath the Great Hall, expertly designed to allow natural daylight to flood the suite through generous skylights.

The stylish double height lecture theatre seats up to 158 guests and features retractable seating to allow for a flexible reception space for up to 130 guests. Ten meetings rooms split over two floors can individually accommodate up to 16 guests boardroom or 25 theatre, or the partition walls can be withdrawn to allow flexible multi-room formats.




Frequently asked questions

Lincoln's Inn is closed for the entire month of August and closes from 17 April at 15:00, reopening on 28 April. These closure periods mean no events can be hosted during these times, so plan accordingly when selecting your event dates.

Meeting spaces require a minimum of 30 guests. For larger events requiring the Old Hall or Crypt, there's a minimum of 120 guests. Day delegate rate packages are available for 90 to 158 delegates in the Conference Suite.

Events can typically run until 16:00 with all guests departed by 16:30 for daytime events. Conference facilities are available from 08:00 to 17:00 with all guests vacated by 17:30. Evening events in spaces like the Old Hall can run later with appropriate arrangements.

Day delegate rate packages start at £91.00 + VAT per person with a minimum of 140 guests, or £104.00 + VAT per person for enhanced packages. The Conference Suite DDR is £127.20 + VAT per person for 90-158 delegates, including room hire, AV facilities, arrival refreshments, mid-morning and afternoon breaks, and a two-course hot fork buffet lunch.

Outside food is strictly prohibited - all catering must be provided by Lincoln's Inn's in-house catering team. This policy applies to all events regardless of size or type, ensuring food safety standards and supporting the venue's award-winning catering service.

The Old Hall dry hire costs £6,600.00 + VAT. The Great Hall and lawn hire between 11:00-16:00 costs £7,350.00 + VAT with a minimum food and beverage spend of £13,950.00 + VAT. Room hire for Old Hall and Crypt for evening events is £2,750.00 with a minimum F&B spend of £7,310.00.

The Ashworth Centre lecture theatre accommodates a maximum of 130 guests. The lawn can hold 100-120 people on yoga mats, but requires hiring the Great Hall as a wet weather backup. The Old Hall is suitable for events with a minimum of 120 guests.

The venue is not suitable for sixth form proms and has declined various event types that don't align with their standards. Events requiring loud music or DJ setups may have limitations, and the venue maintains discretion over event suitability based on their historic setting and operational requirements.

Christmas packages are available at £176.00 + VAT per person (minimum 90 guests), including hire of Old Hall and Crypt, arrival champagne reception, unlimited drinks (spirits, mixers, house wines, beer, sparkling wine), nibbles, 5 canapés and 3 bowl food items.

The venue handles enquiries through their sales team with Joanna Skoczylas as Sales & Events Manager and Christina Summerfield as Junior Sales & Events Coordinator. Tentative holds can be placed on dates, and bespoke proposals are provided based on specific requirements. Contact should be made well in advance, especially for popular dates.
