The NMM is the largest maritime museum in the world. It's main event space is 'Ocean Map' is set at mezzanine level and spanned by a glass roof which floods the space with natural daylight. It is ideal for corporate receptions, award ceremonies and networking. Whether you're looking for a seated gala dinner or a more relaxed standing bowl food affair, this epic space can accommodate up to 550 seated or 1000 standing. With epic views and outdoor space included for arrival receptions and the option for guests to explore our engaging galleries, this is one space your guests will not soon forget.




Frequently asked questions

Venue hire starts from £10,000+VAT and is available Monday through Thursday (inclusive) between 09:00-17:00. This rate includes exclusive hire of the House, basic AV package (PA, mics, free standing screens or projector), dedicated Event Manager, venue staff and security, tables and chairs for Great Hall and Undercroft, and cleaner.

Ocean Court can accommodate up to 550 seated or 1000 standing guests. The Great Hall specifically seats up to 120 guests for seated meals in the classical Palladian style space with marble floors.

The hire includes multiple spaces: Ocean Court (main atrium with glass ceiling), The Great Hall (iconic cube-shaped room for up to 120 seated), The Undercroft (three vaulted rooms below Great Hall for receptions or dancing), South Lawn & Colonnade (outdoor space with Greenwich Park views), and Orangery and South Parlours (three adjoining rooms for drinks receptions with gallery access).

The venue is available Monday through Thursday only, with standard hire from 09:00-17:00. Weekend availability and extended hours beyond 17:00 are not mentioned in the standard package.

Basic AV package includes PA system, microphones, and free standing screens or projector. Any additional AV requirements beyond this basic package are subject to quote from external suppliers.

All catering is provided by external suppliers and is subject to separate quotation. The venue does not include in-house catering services, so clients must arrange their own approved caterers.

The venue includes South Lawn & Colonnade with sweeping views of Greenwich Park, and the Orangery and South Parlours have French doors opening onto lawns with views of Greenwich Park and the Royal Observatory. These outdoor areas are ideal for arrival receptions and provide breathtaking sunset views over London city skyline and River Thames.

The venue is located in the world's largest maritime museum with extensive maritime exhibits and collections, and certain gallery spaces like those adjoining the Orangery and South Parlours are closed off to the public during private events.

The venue hire includes dedicated venue staff and security, plus a cleaner for breakdown. Specific setup times and breakdown access beyond the standard 09:00-17:00 hire period would need to be arranged separately.
