Opened in 2018 by Queen Elizabeth II, the Ashworth Centre is a purpose-built event space set beneath the Great Hall, expertly designed to allow natural daylight to flood the suite through generous skylights. The stylish double height lecture theatre seats up to 158 guests and features retractable seating to allow for a flexible reception space for up to 130 guests. Ten meetings rooms split over two floors can individually accommodate up to 16 guests boardroom or 25 theatre, or the partition walls can be withdrawn to allow flexible multi-room formats.

The Old Hall accommodates up to 120 for dinner or 200 standing. The Great Hall holds up to 280 for dinner or 450 for a reception. The Ashworth Centre lecture theatre seats 158 guests or 130 for receptions with retractable seating. Meeting spaces require a minimum of 30 guests.

Room hire varies by space and timing - for example, the Old Hall costs £2,750 for evening events (17:30-23:00) with a minimum food and beverage spend of £7,310. Day delegate rates start at £91 per person (minimum 140 guests) or £104 per person for enhanced packages. The Great Hall and lawn hire costs £7,350 plus VAT for 11:00-16:00 with a minimum F&B spend of £13,950 plus VAT.

Conference events can run from 08:00-17:00 with all guests departed by 17:30. Evening events typically run until 22:30-23:00 for departure. Setup access is usually available from 17:30 for evening events or 08:00 for day events, though earlier access may be possible by arrangement.

Lincoln's Inn is closed for the entire month of August. Easter closure runs from 17 April at 15:00, reopening on 28 April. These are complete venue closures with no events possible during these periods.

Outside food is strictly prohibited - all catering must be provided in-house. Day delegate packages include arrival refreshments (pastries, yogurt, tea, coffee), mid-morning refreshments, two-course hot fork buffet lunch, and afternoon refreshments with protein bars. All packages include still and sparkling water throughout and dedicated refreshment spaces.

The Ashworth Centre includes integrated AV with projection, screen, and sound facilities in the lecture theatre with an AV technician included. The venue provides screens, projectors, microphones (lapel and handheld), and basic technical support. Additional AV requirements may incur extra charges.

The venue is not suitable for sixth form proms or similar youth events. Some events may be declined if deemed unsuitable for the venue's character. DJ and loud music arrangements need specific approval and may have restrictions based on the space and timing.

The Ashworth Centre has ten meeting rooms across two floors, each accommodating up to 16 guests boardroom style or 25 theatre style. Partition walls can be withdrawn to create flexible multi-room formats. All meeting rooms have TV screens for laptop connections and basic presentation facilities.

Bookings can be made well in advance - the venue takes enquiries for 2025 and 2026 events. Initial enquiries receive bespoke proposals with sample menus. Dates can be held tentatively while decisions are made, and autumn menu selections are typically confirmed later in the year.

Security services may be mandatory at £400-480 plus VAT. Event extensions with bar service until midnight cost an additional £800 plus VAT. Depending on your caterer's requirements, additional small fees may apply for external suppliers, though specific amounts vary by requirements.
