The Milton Suite is a versatile meting space located on Lower Ground Floor 1. The space is comprised of three adjoining meeting rooms and offers capacity for 220 delegates when hires as a single space. For smaller events, optional wall partitions also allow the suite to be split into Lawrence, Fleming and Turner Suites. The Milton Suite is ideal for hosting business meetings, conferences and dinner dances.

The Day Delegate Rate is £69.00 per person (reduced from £99.00), with a minimum of 120 delegates required. This includes main meeting room hire, arrival tea/coffee with pastries, mid-morning tea/coffee with cookies, afternoon tea/coffee with cake, 2-course buffet lunch, projector and screen, flipchart with markers, pads/pens/paper, Wi-Fi, signage, dedicated event planner, and dedicated event manager on the day.
What are the capacity limits for the Milton Suite?
The Milton Suite can accommodate up to 200 delegates in theatre layout and up to 120 delegates in cabaret layout. The space is located on Lower Ground Floor 1 and comprises three adjoining meeting rooms that can be hired as a single space or split into smaller rooms (Lawrence, Fleming and Turner Suites).
What are the standard operating hours and additional time charges?
Standard hire is based on a maximum 8-hour period, normally from 09:00 to 17:00. All rates are inclusive of VAT and based on this timeframe. Hourly supplements and overnight hold charges may apply for additional time beyond the standard 8-hour period.
What AV equipment is included and what are the additional costs?
One projector and screen is included in the Day Delegate Rate. Additional AV costs include: stage blocks at £54.00 each, PA system at £245.00-£350.00, microphones at £66.00 each, lectern at £64.00, AV technician at £550.00 (maximum 8 hours, mandatory for 2+ microphones), and external AV supplier fee at £750.00.
How does the booking hold system work?
Bookings are typically held on 'Joint 1st option', meaning multiple clients can hold the same space on the same day. The first client to confirm and return the contract within three working days gets exclusive use of the space. If you don't confirm by the specified deadline, the space will be automatically released.
Where are refreshments and lunch served?
Tea and coffee breaks are served in Refreshment Area 1, located just outside the meeting room. The 2-course buffet lunch is served in Leo's Restaurant. Alternatively, working lunches (selection of sandwiches with small hot items) can be served in the refreshment space upon request.
What are the setup and access arrangements?
Setup the evening prior to your event is available from 7pm at £2,000.00. De-rig after the event from 5:30pm until 23:00 costs £2,000.00. Complimentary access is typically provided from 4pm on the day of the event for standard bookings.
Are there exhibition spaces available and what do they cost?
Yes, exhibition spaces are available including the Churchill Suite at £1,500.00 inc. VAT (reduced from £1,900.00) and the Pepys Suite which has the same features and rate as Churchill. These spaces can accommodate up to 3 exhibition stands and are suitable for events requiring display areas.
What accessibility features does the Milton Suite offer?
The Milton Suite is fully accessible and features air conditioning. However, it does not have natural daylight as it's located on the Lower Ground Floor. The space offers flexible layout options and can be configured for various seating arrangements including theatre, cabaret, and classroom styles.
What are the catering options beyond the Day Delegate Rate?
Beyond the standard DDR, you can arrange drinks receptions with minimum spends (e.g., £3,000-£10,000 inc. VAT for food and beverage). The venue offers banquet packages starting from £79.00-£89.00 per person including arrival drinks, 3-course meals, and wine. Custom catering packages can be arranged based on specific requirements.
