Weekend weddings have a minimum spend of £4,000 per day. This applies to all Saturday and Sunday bookings and must be met through venue hire and catering costs combined.

What is the maximum capacity for seated wedding dinners?

The venue can accommodate a maximum of 60 guests for seated wedding meals. If you require more than 60 seated guests, the venue cannot accommodate your event.

What are the access hours for wedding receptions?

Wedding receptions typically have access from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM (17:00-23:00). A late license extension to midnight is available for an additional £500 + VAT.

What is included in the Reception Only Wedding Package?

The Reception Only Wedding Package costs £171 including VAT per person (minimum 30 guests) and includes first floor venue hire, arrival nibbles, Prosecco, 5 canapés, 3 bowl foods, two-hour unlimited house wine/beer/soft drinks, bar setup, uplighters, PA system, handheld microphones, iPad with Spotify, reception team, security, and unmanned cloakroom.

What dancing and music options are available for weddings?

You can have a dance floor in the Reception Room with background music through the PA system or a silent disco. For DJ dancing, you can hire the Wolfson Room and Exhibition Area for an extra £700 + VAT, with DJ services starting from £850 + VAT.

Which rooms are recommended for wedding receptions?

The Council Chamber and Reception Room are typically recommended for wedding events. For larger celebrations requiring dancing with a DJ, the Wolfson Conference Suite (soundproof) with Exhibition Area is available as an upgrade.

How do I secure my wedding date and what is the booking process?

You can place a provision hold on your preferred date while reviewing the proposal. The venue provides a bespoke proposal, venue brochure, and sample event menu, and encourages site visits to view the spaces before booking.

Are external caterers allowed for weddings?

The venue works with Searcys as their catering partner and provides comprehensive catering packages. External catering arrangements are not mentioned in the standard offerings, so this would need to be discussed directly with the venue team.

What AV equipment is included for wedding ceremonies and receptions?

The wedding package includes uplighters, PA system, handheld microphones, and an iPad with Spotify access. Additional AV requirements such as screens and projectors may be available but would need to be specified in your requirements.
