The Exhibition room can accommodate up to 100 guests in theatre style for ceremonies, 60 guests in cabaret style for dining, or 40 guests in boardroom style. The space is located on the ground floor with floor-to-ceiling windows and natural light.
Can we bring our own catering or external suppliers for our wedding?
No, external catering is not permitted due to an exclusivity contract with the venue's caterers. All food and drinks must be provided through The Goldsmiths' Centre's catering team, though they can accommodate various dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other special needs.
What AV equipment is included for wedding ceremonies and receptions?
Full AV equipment is included in the room hire at no additional cost. This includes 2 drop-down screens, 2 integrated ceiling projectors, microphones, HDMI cables, clickers, and strong Wi-Fi throughout the building. The space also has a built-in PA system and induction loop.
What are the standard hire time slots and can we extend beyond these hours?
Standard hire slots are full day (08:30-17:00), half day (08:30-12:30 or 13:00-17:00), or evening (18:00-22:45). You can extend beyond these times for £250 + VAT per additional hour, allowing flexibility for longer wedding celebrations.
Is there outdoor space available for wedding photos or ceremonies?
No, The Goldsmiths' Centre does not have any private outdoor space available for guests. All wedding activities must take place within the indoor venue spaces.
What is the payment schedule and invoice terms for wedding bookings?
A deposit invoice is required before your event takes place. Final invoices are payable within 30 days, unless the event takes place within 30 days of the invoice date. You'll need to provide a purchase order number for invoicing purposes.
Can we bring our own alcohol or add spirits to drinks packages?
You can bring your own bottles with a corkage fee of £50 + VAT per bottle. Alternatively, spirits can be provided through the catering service - options include vodka, gin, rum, scotch, and whiskey.
