The glass-roofed Atrium of the Goldsmiths' Centre is a grand architectural statement combining the old architecture of a Victorian Board School with a contemporary award-winning building. It is also the ideal space to hold your evening reception, private view or product launch with ever-changing jewellery displays and delicious in-house catering options. If further break-out spaces are required, your guests can seamlessly enjoy the next part of your event in the adjoining Exhibition Room or cafe.




Frequently asked questions

Full day room hire (8:30am-5:00pm) for the Exhibition Room is £1,800 + VAT with a minimum catering spend of £1,200 + VAT. Evening hire (6:00pm-10:45pm) for Exhibition Room and Atrium is £2,140 + VAT with a minimum catering spend of £1,600 + VAT. Extensions beyond standard hours cost £250 + VAT per hour.

The Exhibition Room can accommodate up to 100 guests in theatre style, 60 guests in cabaret style, and 40 guests in boardroom style. The space is located on the ground floor with floor-to-ceiling windows and benefits from natural light.

Standard time slots are: Full day (8:30am-5:00pm), Half day (8:30am-12:30pm or 1:00pm-5:00pm), and Evening (6:00pm-10:45pm). Events can extend beyond these hours at £250 + VAT per additional hour, and organizers can access the space from 8:30am.

External catering is not permitted due to an exclusivity contract with the venue's caterers. All food and drinks must be provided through The Goldsmiths' Centre's catering team, though they can accommodate various dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other special needs.

Full use of AV equipment is included in room hire, featuring state-of-the-art, user-friendly equipment with strong Wi-Fi throughout the building. The Exhibition Room has a built-in PA system, and standard equipment includes screens, projectors, clickers, HDMI cables, and flipcharts.

A deposit invoice is required before the event takes place, with invoices payable within 30 days unless the event occurs within 30 days of the invoice date. Separate purchase orders are needed for deposit and final invoices.

You can bring your own bottles with a corkage fee of £50 + VAT per bottle, or the venue can provide spirits through their catering service. Standard drinks packages include wine, beer, and soft drinks, with spirits available as add-ons.

The venue does not have any private outdoor space available for guests. All event activities must take place within the indoor spaces of The Goldsmiths' Centre.

Final event details including catering requirements, dietary needs, and guest numbers must be confirmed by 4:00pm the day before your event at the latest. Late dietary requirements can sometimes be accommodated but should be avoided.

Catering includes gourmet sandwich lunches, Future 50 Salad options (£28 + VAT per person for full salad lunch, £5 + VAT per person for add-on salads), tea and coffee service, and various reception packages. House brownies are available at £6 per person, and drinks packages start at £26 per person for one hour unlimited service.
