Grand Connaught Rooms brochureStanding on Great Queen Street, that connects Covent Garden with Holborn in the West End of London, is the Grade II* listed De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms. With a history dating back to 1775, the building has long been an important event venue, and was once home to the original Freemasons’ Tavern before becoming a hotel in 1909.
Since then, the venue has hosted some of the world‘s leading politicians, royalty and celebrities with its grand Georgian architecture and art-deco interiors offering 37 exceptional spaces for a wide range of conferences, exhibitions, celebrations and weddings.

Standard daytime hire is 08:00–17:00. All spaces must be vacated by 17:00 or additional de rig (clear-out) charges will apply. Evening hire runs from 18:00–01:00. Precise costs for overrunning or de rig are not specified.
Are there additional or mandatory fees not included in the room hire?
Additional charges may apply for AV upgrades, extra technical requirements, and de rig (late/overrun). Reusable De Vere water bottles are available at £1.25 per delegate (optional). AV suppliers can be quoted based on requirements. No undisclosed mandatory add-ons are listed for the base package.
Is catering included, and what are the options?
For Day Delegate Rates (DDR), catering such as tea/coffee, lunch, and refreshments during breaks are included. For all-day room hire without DDR, catering can be provided at an additional cost.

What is the step-by-step process for booking a conference at Grand Connaught Rooms?
After you enquire, the venue will send a formal proposal and request basic information about your organisation (name, company registration number, address, contact details). You will then be issued a contract and payment link. The final VAT invoice must be settled 4 weeks before the event date; contract signature is via DocuSign.
