What is the minimum spend required to hire The Touchline for an evening party or office event?
The Touchline can be hired for a minimum spend starting from £750; prices vary depending on both day and time of day. The best option is going for one of our great value party packages.
How is payment structured and what deposits are required?
A non-refundable deposit, usually 50% of the minimum spend or packages is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance must be settled at least 7 days' prior to your event- payment after the event is not possible.
What is included in the minimum spend for the Touchline?
The minimum spend covers use of the room for 5 hours; when working with a minimum spend, there wil be an additional activity spend on top. All staffing is included, and you can either choose to use your minimum spend on a pre-order of food and drinks, or set up a tab on the day itself.
Are there additional or mandatory charges beyond the minimum spend?
A 12.5% discrectionary service charge will be added to your total spend. A minimum spend option may include extra charges for unlimited access to certain activities (for example, £400 for unlimited use of karaoke and darts, depending on the space), however all activities are included within the package itself. Security and staffing are generally included in event packages for bookings in The Touchline.
What are the booking, pre-order, and setup procedures?
Bookings require a signed agreement and deposit to confirm. Food and drink pre-orders should be completed 7 days before your event for larger groups; remaining balances must be paid before the evnet date. Some events may require a mandatory setup or drinks/food pre-order, especially for larger groups, to ensure smooth running and inclusion in your minimum spend.
What capacities apply to the Touchline for events?
The Touchline can accomodate up to 50 guests with a mixture of seated and standing.
What are the timings and duration restrictions for bookings?
Standard booking slots for business events are typically 5 hours (e.g., 6:00pm–11:00pm for private rooms), but longer durations can be arranged subject to availability and higher minimum spends. =All timings must be confirmed at booking; late/overnight events may not be available on all dates and are subject to higher spends.
Can I bring my own food/drink, DJ, or entertainment for my event?
Outside catering is strictly prohibited; all food and drink must be purchased through the venue. DJ's are not able to be accommodated within the Touchline, but can be on The Terrace or in The Podium for a full private hire. You are welcome to bring your own entertainment such as close-up magicians, party hosts or dancers but we kindly request that you run this past your booking agent first.
How are dietary requirements and food packages handled?
Food packages offer flexibility, with menus updated seasonally. Dietary needs including halal, gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian can be accommodated if stated with your pre-order. The venue does not allow food brought in from outside vendors for events.
Is there AV equipment and games included for team building or office parties?
The Touchline features a 100" TV, interactive darts, karaoke, Nintendo Switch, and SKY TV for presentations and entertainment. These facilities are included within packages, however there is an additional fee to use activities with a minimum spend booking; unlimited use of some games may only be available under certain event packages or at an extra cost as specified in your quote.
What is the cancellation or refund policy for The Touchline?
All deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances. If you cancel after confirming your booking, you will forfeit your deposit; further cancellation terms should be confirmed at the time of booking.
Are any event types or activities specifically restricted?
Certain event formats—such as mocktail-only parties or cash bar-only hires under modest budgets—may not meet minimum spend requirements or may not be possible. Venue is not available for dry hire (space only with own suppliers) for business events. Activities that might disturb public areas are limited; amplified music/DJs must respect volume constraints.
