What are the standard operating time slots and access hours?
Day slots run 8:00-17:00, evening slots 18:30-23:30, and full day hire 8:00-23:30. Setup access can be arranged earlier on the day of the event. All pricing and availability varies depending on which time slot you select.
What are the capacity limits for each room and seating configurations?
Yi Room accommodates maximum 12 guests in boardroom style with one oval table. Ren Room holds up to 50 guests boardroom/cabaret style, 100 guests at 10 round tables, or 140 guests standing reception. Li Room fits maximum 30 guests standing, 22 guests at one oval table, or 3 round tables of 10 guests each.
What mandatory additional costs should I budget for beyond room hire and F&B minimum?
15% service charge applies to all food and beverage orders. Security is mandatory for larger events at £120-£200 per officer for up to 8 hours (1 officer required per 60 guests). All entertainment, décor, and audio-visual equipment must be externally hired at additional cost. Some events require minimum 10 bedroom bookings.
How does the booking hold and confirmation process work?
Spaces are not automatically placed on hold when proposals are sent. You must specifically request to put the space on hold while making your decision. The venue operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and popular dates get fully committed quickly, especially June dates which show frequent unavailability.
What are the food and beverage pricing guidelines and ordering requirements?
Three-course meals start from £95 per person, canapés from £36 for selection of 6 per person, bowl food £12 per bowl with 3-selection minimum at £33 per person. Wine from £55 per bottle, champagne from £110 per bottle. Pre-orders and dietary requirements must be submitted two weeks before the event date.
Are there restrictions on dates, times, or event types?
Weekend events typically have higher pricing than weekday events. Some dates require minimum bedroom bookings (particularly mentioned for December events requiring minimum 10 bedrooms). The venue can accommodate various event types including conferences, birthdays, engagement parties, corporate events, and private dining.
What happens with exclusive use and shared access to Level 34?
When booking individual rooms, you share Level 34 with other events and access is through the Sky Lounge. For exclusive use of the entire Level 34 (closing Sky Lounge to public), additional fees apply. The Sky Lounge connects all event spaces and can be used for drinks receptions when booking the Ren Room.
What audio-visual and technical capabilities are available?
All audio-visual equipment must be externally hired at additional cost - the venue does not provide in-house AV equipment. The spaces can accommodate screens, microphones, DJ setups, and other technical requirements, but these must be arranged and paid for separately through external suppliers.
How flexible is pricing and what factors affect the final cost?
Pricing varies significantly based on day of week (weekends cost more), time slot (evening events typically more expensive), and season.
