Frequently asked questions

The Yi Room costs £1,500 including VAT for room hire with a matching minimum food and beverage spend of £1,500 including VAT. This applies to day slots (8:00-17:00) and accommodates up to 12 guests in boardroom style around one oval table.

Day slots run from 8:00-17:00, evening slots from 18:30-23:30, and full day hire from 8:00-23:30. Access is typically provided 30 minutes before your booked slot begins.

A 15% service charge is added to all food and beverage bills. Entertainment, décor, or audio-visual equipment must be externally hired at additional cost. All quoted prices already include VAT at the current rate.

The Yi Room accommodates maximum 12 guests in boardroom style around one oval table. The Li Room holds up to 25 for theatre style, 30 for dinner, and 35 for standing reception with views of St Paul's Cathedral.

Security is mandatory for larger events at £120 per security officer for up to 8 hours, with 1 officer required per 60 guests. Some quotes show £200 per officer, so confirm current rates when booking.

Spaces are not automatically placed on hold when quotes are provided. You must specifically request to put the space on hold, and the venue will release enquiries from their system if they don't hear back within their specified timeframes.

Three-course meals start from £95 per person, canapés from £36 for 6 pieces per person, and bowl food at £12 per bowl. Wine starts from £55 per bottle, champagne from £110. All dietary requirements and food orders must be pre-ordered in advance.

Some events require minimum bedroom bookings (10 bedrooms minimum mentioned for certain dates). Superior Shard rooms are available for £500 including VAT with one breakfast, with additional breakfasts at £20 per person for double occupancy.

Weekend pricing can be reduced compared to weekday rates. Evening slots typically have higher minimum spends than day slots, and some dates may require bedroom minimums depending on demand.

Basic room setup is included, but all audio-visual equipment, entertainment, and décor must be externally hired at additional cost. The venue can accommodate external AV suppliers but does not provide in-house technical equipment.
